In the aftermath, the Trump administration signed off on a bump-stock ban that went into effect in 2018. It’s been challenged in the courts. We never got a solid motive for Paddock’s rampage, only a lot of conjecture. Every avenue regarding this investigation wound up being a dead end. For years, we knew nothing about Paddock’s motivations for committing mass murder until now, but skepticism abounds as the new theory is that the casinos were mistreating him. After nearly a decade of investigating, Paddock committed the worst mass shooting by a single person in US history because he felt disrespected at the gambling tables. For lack of a better term, this is quite anti-climactic. Authorities still maintain their official position that no motive could be determined to satisfy why Paddock committed this crime. One interesting point is that no one saw him do the shooting and he was already dead when he was finally found. The words Oswald and patsy come to mind. It is prob not the motive but why not just go with he lost his butt in the casinos and this is the result? It a lot more believable.
My ‘guess’ at the time was that he was there, perhaps as a plant or other nefarious means, and he went crazy. The amount of weapons that he had smuggled in was staggering, and suggested that their was some collusion between he and his handlers, or perhaps employers. Then he went nuts, and decided he was going out in ‘a blaze of glory’. Now what would the FBI do? Admit that he was theirs and that he went homicidal? I think not. I am sure that it happens a lot more than we will ever know.
Typical of today’s “government”: we are only expected to pay our taxes and obey all restrictions - not learn anything from anyone.
I’ve lost and never felt the need to retaliate against anyone.

I’ve always believed more than one shooter was doing the shooting, I’ve watched hundreds of YouTube videos of the shooting and there is one taken by a female cab driver at the Mandalay Bay waiting in line when the shooting started and based on the sound of the shots you can hear that the location was different, even though it’s one video it’s been posted by multiple people meaning faking it would be more difficult
The silence of the media over this atrocity tells me that the truth about Paddock would harm one of their pet narratives. Paddock had ties to Philippine Muslims and that is the likely issue here. Paddock went jihadi.
The dude was a high-end video poker player, he knew exactly what the ROI was (not bad, in the realm of casino games), not only that he was a tournament video poker player who had tourney wins.
His gal pal Mi Luv U Longtime, she knows.
I lived in Vegas for a couple of years, and the mother of one of my son’s friends also played video poker for a living. It SOUNDS like BS, but it works. It requires a tremendous amount of discipline, as you have to play almost perfectly as the percentages are thin. Also, you can only play certain machines that are configured so that the hands pay a certain way. It was a lot to take in, but my ex went with her to the casinos a couple of times, and the woman left with money both times.

He was supposed to have tried to blow up a large propane tank by shooting it, at best, with a .30 caliber weapon.
Anyone who did their homework would know a .30 cal won’t go through a plate over 1/2” thick at that distance.
What’s that tell you?
It tells me he did the shooting.
