At least 25 cars derailed from a train in Montana on Sunday, spilling their contents onto the ground and into a nearby body of water.
First responders say there is no threat to the public, but there has yet to be confirmation about what the affected containers were carrying.
Montana Rail Link, which owns the railroad, is aware of the situation, but the company that owns the train has yet to be identified, according to NBC Montana.
The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office did not respond to multiple requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
There have not been any reported injuries from the crash.

Sabotage? Obviously there’s been an inordinate number of train derailments of late to be anything but sabotage. Brings to mind the news of all of the various food production facilities that have burned down recently along with the destruction of livestock and poultry production operations. Seems there’s a skunk in this woodpile somewhere.
Our railroads could sure use some of that “infrastructure” money. Democrats screw up everything.

Thanks for the reminder.
Those rails were probably made here 60 years ago. imo
Gender fluid?
There are 196,000 miles of railroad track in the US. There are bound to be derailments with that much track.
But recently something seems suspicious with some of the derailments.
What makes me REALLY think is, why are they in the media now so much?
Ban trains is my bet, or at least the hazardous stuff they carry.
The next article they write will say:
“Pipelines are obviously bad, and trains are too from the recent accounts. We MUST cut back on our oil consumption and use of hazardous materials in industry. Not just for the environment - but for our own safety! A recent study shows that over 129,000 schools are within vicinity of a rail line. Think of the children!”
When you read the thread and see the actual numbers you can ping me with your apology.
Lots of that going on right now.
From the Sanders County web site...
One of my pics of the Cabinet Mountains in October 2018 after one of the first snowfalls of the year...
We need to be asking if Buffet’s railroad company is collecting insurance money on these derailments.
Thanks for the link. From the update and photographs it does not appear to be tanker cars so thank God for that!
That is a beautiful area and very remote!
FWIW - derailments will happen, but the longer trains (more profit) and more stock buybacks instead of maintenance are certainly contributing to derailments and severity of derailments.
You can’t really fix this with electronic brakes either.
I may be way off base, but does anybody remember the looming rail strike? Joey Crappy Pants worked a deal which, all puns intended, crapped out. Congress passed something FORCING unions to accept this bad deal.
Are we seeing Unions getting back at the rail companies? Sad if intentional but damn it these scum in Congress and Rail Companies DESERVE IT!
The US has become a 3rd world country. Train derailments here are as common as they are in shitholes like Bangladesh.
This looks almost like planned sabotage.
*That’s a rhetorical question. I think we all know.
I hope it’s not “gender fluid.” I think we’re over saturated at this point.
“FWIW - derailments will happen, but the longer trains (more profit) and more stock buybacks instead of maintenance are certainly contributing to derailments and severity of derailments.”

In addition, the short time insisted upon by the railroad companies for inspection safety checks means that potential problems will be overlooked and passed on to the next person down the line. No one wants to be responsible for not allowing the “trains to run on time” so mechanical issues are overlooked and ignored until they make themselves known rather loudly. Regular maintenance schedules are ignored or given cursory “good to go” inspections.
In addition, those that “can do” have retired or been replaced with those that check the appropriate boxes (thus the continued degrading service from agencies such as the United Postal Service).
