Several MiG-29 fighter aircraft have been delivered to Ukraine to aid it in its fight against Russia, Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of Poland, said to RMF24 radio on Monday.

The transfer would make Poland the first Ukrainian ally to supply it with warplanes. Polish President Andrzej Duda said on March 16 that four of the aircraft would be delivered in the coming days.

Przydacz said that there would be further transfers of fighter craft to Ukraine. Duda said that Poland has around 20 MiG-29s, Reuters reported.

MiGs can operate from large open fields, of which Ukraine has plenty, and don't need fixed bases.

Watch These MiGs Operate From A Grass Field Like It's No Big Deal

What happened to the 29s they had before? And that’s a cute little exercise, but in reality, tacair operations from places like that do not generate sortie rates, have no fuel, ammo, pilots live in a text, and the mechanics work out in the weather.

Anyway, can’t they use their own bases?
Are you suggesting the ghost of Kiev isn’t real?

There’s a note of irony in all this.

You warmongers are about to get your wish. We’ll be lucky if any of us are alive by the end of summer. When this goes nuclear at least you won’t have to deal with me telling you I told you so. Damn fools. Here’s your new heartthrob.

“The Czech Defense Minister has succeeded in raising the already sky-high threshold of gung ho attitudes towards the possibility of the escalation of the war in Ukraine even higher. In her view, Czech citizens have nothing to fear even if nuclear weapons were to be used in the battlefield.

Reacting to the news about the Kremlin’s intention to place nuclear weapons on the territory of neighboring Belarus, during an interview on Czech television last week, Jana Černochová tried to reassure Czech citizens about the prospect of a nuclear escalation. However, instead of trying to dismiss such theories, or inform about efforts to deescalate the situation in order to prevent such tragedies, she shocked Czech viewers by belittling the effects of a nuclear confrontation instead.

The Czech Defense Minister said that the consequences of the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine would pose no risks to the Czech Republic.

If something like that were to happen, the citizens of the Czech Republic would not be threatened in any way,

she said.“

20 planes isn’t squat. they need 200 AND the logistics to support it, And the air defence to keep them safe when they are on the ground. But it is a nice gesture from Poland, which will get new US planes to replace them.

And even if you master the logistics and operational problems of flying off of a grass strip somewhere, then you have the problem of flying over the former eastern Ukraine, under the S 400 umbrella.

The reality, is that nobody can operate freely over there in the air.

“””What happened to the 29s they had before?”””

That would be the MIGs that Trump wanted them to have, but that Biden kept blocking.

I don’t know if they ever got sent.

Trump wasn’t trying to send fighters to Ukraine. But all Trump ever tried to do with that corrupt nazi money hole was keep them in check as they worked to get him impeached. He had to placate the Neocons to a small degree.

But in any case, they had about 75 SU-27s and MiG-29s. Where did those go? LOL

Trump wanted those MIGs to go to Ukraine, as he said it, those “and more”.

Biden kept blocking them.

Look closer, the runway itself is not grass. It’s hard packed clay or lime, like what is used on baseball infields. Which are not soft, but are a mess when it rains.

Russian fighter jets are reportedly ambushing Ukrainian pilots in sneak attacks. Fending them off would require F-16s, pilot says, which the US previously said ‘won’t help them.’
