***weapons of war***

The same argument used in the 1960s to get army surplus rifles banned from the US.
The REAL reason for the ban was the New England politicians wanted to protect their own gun making industry of Winchester, Remington and Savage from cheap competition, so they used the shooting of JFK as a reason to ban them in 1968.
Interesting thing. After army surplus rifles were banned from import they could still import the same rifles IF they had been issued to a police force and NOT the military,

Now those same states are trying to force their own gun makers out.

Unfortunately, Romney won’t hurt his chances in Mormon-Land if he sides with the Dems. I used to think Mormons were smart.

I have just been reading some interesting info on the 1934 weapons law.

There was an attempt to ban handguns under the NFA act as it was said the best weapon for home defense was the shotgun and a rifle.
No more. Now rifles are Ba-a-a-d.

Rest assured that if they can get a ban on any type of common rifle, and make it stick, they will be back after their original target, handguns, which they tried to get banned in the 1934 -1980s.

If they’re “weapons of war,” why does every substantial police department have them?

But are there votes for build asylums to involuntarily commit gender dysphoria patients?

Assault weapons are already almost entirely banned except for a few that jump through hoops to have a license to own fully automatice weapons!

Just because a rifle “looks like” and assault weapon does not mean it is one! The civilian guns that they claim are “weapons of war” are no more deadly than any other semi automatic rifle. Th3y are not dual fire weapons capable of ful,y automatic fire like actual weapons of war are.

The scarlet, king snake “looks like” a deadly coral snake, but it is not a coral snake!

One more than they can manufacture.

I'm always amazed at the patriotism and strong sense of civic duty in urban democRAT precincts ... they sometimes have 110% voter turnout.

You’ve got my vote!

I remember my dad saying in the 80s that Democrats were dangerous and destructive to all that was good about our country. He passed in 2015, a 28-year Navy veteran. I miss him, but I’m glad he can’t see the additional destruction the Democrats have wrought.

“But what are there the votes to do?

Well, considering that basically every piece of legislation you pass damages the U.S., and considering that the judges and DOJ basically ignore law when it applies to demoncraps, and just make up things with which to persecute Conservatives, what the legislature does is largely irrelevant. It's a ceremonial post at this point in our banana republic.

F**ing idiot. Votes don’t matter. SCOTUS has already ruled that you cannot control a common use weapon.

Slingers were regular parts of armies for centuries. Siege engines pounded cities to rubble. Ergo, rocks are weapons of war. Armies through the gunpowder age carried spears. Hence, pointy sticks are weapons of war. Seems like a pretty open ended point.

That’s what he is saying. The reality is there will be plenty of Senate rhinos to push through a Biden ban. And there will probably be enough rhino HORs with some extra pork.

Not that they would want to if they DID. They need this issue to run on every election. If they were to somehow get the votes to ban them, and there were STILL mass shootings (since criminals don’t abide by the laws), what then? They would look like the fools that they are.

So, they “don’t have the votes” because of those evil Republicans, please send a donation so that we can get more Dems elected, and more supreme court justices.

Wasn’t just about every gun made originally a weapon of war?

If not ‘every’ item, but at least new design concepts.
