Good...The way things are going in this country, we’re going to need them. America has become a very dangerous place since the cops have been taken down by the commie left politicians and their asstivists.

Murphy said, “I want to ban ‘assault weapons.’

No, you dissembling sunovabitch, you want to ban ALL weapons. Be a man. Admit it.

I think

No, you don't. You "feel". Logical thought is beyond you.

it’s just absolutely unconscionable that we allow these ‘weapons of war’ to be in commercial circulation.

It's absolutely unconscionable that We the People would allow you, our worthless servant, to disarm us. You should be trembling in fear of what we might do if you displease us.

Don’t put it past Republicans to do something stupid and ruin their chances in the next election. They’re not called the stupid party without reason.

They are probably realistically 4 or 5 votes away. It’ll never be constitutional not that that means anything in 2023

Should we ban streetlamps? Some UConn student took down one and used it to vandalize the student union. 🤓

I'm proud of my university for winning their 5th national titles, however I hate the rioting some morons did!!

By his definition, a pen is an assault weapon because it was used to write orders in a war?

The right of The People to possess “weapons of war” was the whole point of the Second Amendment...

If there is one issue where both Dems and Repubs are just mildly on the same page, it’s reluctance to ban weapons. You may think this is false, that Dems are rabid about the issue, but there are just enough Dems in Purples states who want to get re-elected.

Biden has no fear of Executive Order and the GOP-e Senate will continue their march to oblivion by doing nothing.

It’s not 1993 anymore. So they don’t have enough Republicans to go along with their claptrap.

What exactly are the Dems proposing? Banning ALL “assault weapons,” meaning confiscation of existing guns, or just banning sales?

Hmmm??? I ask of WokeLeftazis what will be the acceptable level of government gun violence (using automatic weapons of war?) that they would allow to disarm a possible reluctant citizenry? How much blood and carnage is OK to protect us all from the “scourge of gun violence?” Law enforcement would have little time for anything else. They might even have to cut back on pursuing “criminals” known as Trump supporters.

***weapons of war***

The same argument used in the 1960s to get army surplus rifles banned from the US.
The REAL reason for the ban was the New England politicians wanted to protect their own gun making industry of Winchester, Remington and Savage from cheap competition, so they used the shooting of JFK as a reason to ban them in 1968.
Interesting thing. After army surplus rifles were banned from import they could still import the same rifles IF they had been issued to a police force and NOT the military,

Now those same states are trying to force their own gun makers out.

I have just been reading some interesting info on the 1934 weapons law.

There was an attempt to ban handguns under the NFA act as it was said the best weapon for home defense was the shotgun and a rifle.
No more. Now rifles are Ba-a-a-d.

Rest assured that if they can get a ban on any type of common rifle, and make it stick, they will be back after their original target, handguns, which they tried to get banned in the 1934 -1980s.
