Lots of Hate for a guy that’s not even running. Trump must be terrified of him.

This is so weak, it is comical.

Do you think Trump did not prepare in advance of coming down the escalator?

Attacking DeSantis is pointless. I love DeSantis. I love Trump. DeSantis will make an excellent president (in 2028).

In the present circumstance, there is no way I’m backing away from Trump. I don’t see anyone seriously opposing him from GOP after the indictments. They would be pariah if they did.

Or....we could just look at the policies Ron has implemented to make Florida better, and forget about this peripheral nonsense.

I am a Trump supporter, but I see nothing strange about Florida influencers/people of note wanting to get their pictures taken with the sitting governor of Florida at his inauguration party. I’ve seen friendly pictures of the Trumps and the Clintons smiling together, too.

I have a thank you note from Lt. Gov. Jody Rell of Connecticut from when I ran for State Rep there. That doesn’t mean I supported her.

Can somebody please explain, what exactly we are supposed to be pissed off about , and why we are supposed to be pissed off about these meetings of these people?

The clear tone of this, is that we are supposed to be pissed off at these people having gotten together. But I am missing something as to why this is a problem.

Reminds this OGINJ of Bridget Kelly’s role in Chris Christie’s “BridgeGate” (except in that affair, in addition to the fact that behavior took place that truly qualified as “bad” (not the case here), an email documented the behavior in question (which, in this case, the denier strangely crows (methinks too much) about the absence of such a smoking gun document):

__________

It turns out there may not have been a “traffic study” at all and if it did exist, it was just cover for the true purpose behind the lane closures-–payback. Subpoenaed emails released this past Wednesday January 8th revealed that the lane closures were actually political retribution against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, a Democrat, who had refused to endorse Christie’s reelection bid. The damning emails were between Christie deputy Bridget Anne Kelly and David Wildstein, the Christie-appointed Port Authority executive who ordered the lane closures.

“Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee,” Kelly emailed Wildstein.

“Got it,” he replied.

Did Christie order this bizarre piece of political revenge?

According to Christie, he had no idea any of this was happening on his behalf. First, he issued the statement below, decrying the “unacceptable” behavior and vowing to hold the guilty parties “responsible for their actions”:

What I’ve seen today for the first time is unacceptable. I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge.

One thing is clear: This type of behavior is unacceptable and I will not tolerate it because the people of New Jersey deserve better. This behavior is not representative of me or my Administration in any way, and people will be held responsible for their actions.

it’s a ridiculous lie that Ron DeSantis served in the U.S. Navy and deployed to Iraq with the SEALs and was awarded a Bronze Star. The truth is he was 4F just like Trump.

It’s a ridiculous lie that Ron DeSantis has a beautiful wife. The truth is he has an ugly wife just like Ted Cruz.

It’s a ridiculous lie that Ron DeSantis was re-elected in a landslide. The truth is he was defeated for re-election just like Trump.

It’s a ridiculous lie that Ron DeSantis increased the Republican share of the state legislature so that Republicans now have super majorities in both houses. The truth is the Democrats took over after two years and Florida wound up with a Speaker of the House like Nancy Pelosi, just like Trump.

It’s a ridiculous lie that Ron DeSantis’ staff has been a solid group. The truth is DeSantis has gone through staff like crap through a goose, just like Trump.

Let’s face it, if you want the real deal, don’t settle for a cheap imitation built on a foundation of ridiculous lies.

Absolutely disgusting. Pure deceit. The article you posted, that is. The “denial” by Christina Pushaw is no denial that some bunch of people ever met DeSantis. She’s denying that they constitute a bot farm organized by DeSantis. As if it’s utterly inconceivable that a bunch of DeSantis supporters would be fast to retweet some news about DeSantis.

Meanwhile, Trump is on trial for what is absolutely a non-crime of paying media allies hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay hush money to whores. Absolutely a non-crime, but if we’re going to pretend we’re horrified at people re-tweeting what DeSantis says, paying off whores through multiple third parties may be entirely legal but pretty damned disgusting.

And THERE’S the Democrats’ gambit: making sure the Republicans close ranks around a candidate who inspires horrified gasps from swing voters and sends their base running to vote ten, twenty, fifty times.

DeSantis is being pushed into the limelight by the elites to try to take out Trump.

Those people remind me of a line from George Goebel on Johnnie Carson years ago.

"Did you ever feel like the world is a Tuxedo and you're a pair of brown shoes"?
