Yep, clearly it is accelerating.
I had the most vivid and disturbing dream ever over this. I could see something paining to come into existence, the more compute power and the more AI was advanced the more it took a solid (vs. transparent) form. It was just a head, no body. I couldn’t breathe. It then become opaque, it was ‘born’, and I awoke, out of breath, saying “it’s here”.
There’s an inevitability here.
I’m amazed people don’t understand how dangerous AI could be in the hands of totalitarians... and then ‘in the hands of AI alone...
It’s as if the most evil hacker in the world was able to cancel all financial records in the world, close down banks, cancel all ATM cards, destroy car, truck, plane, ship and train chips so transportation grinds to a halt. Then that force prevents factories from producing or repairing the damage. And that could all be done DAY ONE... or with advanced AI - HOUR ONE. Or five minutes...
I have no clue why AI is being treated casually...
As to your dream - yes - scary. Something at the edge of your consciousness is feeling threatening... Could also be changes in your life that need to be looked at...aired out and examined.
