I could not disagree more. Whether other here are tongue in cheek or not, I am quite serious: the left has defined occupation of the seat of government as insurrection. One need not be violent: plenty of people who were not violent in 1/6 are having the book thrown at them. These three miscreants led an insurrection in the chamber: when you have a bullhorn and are egging on the people in the gallery to prevent the due deliberations of the chamber, then you, too, are an insurrectionist. Slapping of the wrist will not deter such conduct in the future

No it isn’t. It’s appropriate. There are still places where you have to act like you got some damn common sense. This is one of them. You’re told the rules, lots of them, when you get in. You show respect or you don’t get to stay. Expulsion in this case is perfect because it sets a precedent. So these three won a popularity contest. Big deal. It doesn’t give them a license it act like idiots.
