Sad Old Drunk!’ Pelosi Gets Badly Heckled at Conference, Labeled ‘War Criminal’ by Demonstrators

Multiple protesters derailed an event featuring Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), accusing the Democrat of being a “war criminal” and a “sad old drunk.”

The event also featured economist Paul Krugman. The two were speaking at the The City University of New York’s Graduate Center. Footage of the demonstrators yelling at Pelosi and earning boos from the audience quickly spread across social media. The protests kicked off with one activist telling the former speaker of the House, “You know Pelosi, that’s a very good place for you, in the depths of hell.”

The demonstrator continued yelling as security took him out of the room.

“For some reason, you have a very bad obsession of getting us into war. Hey, why is it that you did not admit that there were no WMDs in Iraq? You lied us into a war in Iraq. You got us to invade Afghanistan. Now over 90 percent of those people are impoverished and are dying. Why don’t you tell the truth about Nordstream?” he said, accusing Pelosi of being a “war criminal.”

Another protester stood up and screamed at Pelosi, admitting he was disappointed because he came to see a “warmonger,” but only got a “sad old drunk.”

“Hey congresswoman, I came to see a warmonger but you’re a sad old drunk! What happened? When you went to Taiwan, were you looking for Ukraine? Did we blow up the Nordstream on accident or on purpose?” he yelled.

Multiple other protesters also accused Pelosi of being a war criminal, but were quickly removed from the venue.

The video at the link show this to be a fairly well-coordinated protest....one guy got up, started and kept yelling as he got escorted out, then another popped up and started yelling...rinse and repeat a few times.

If you make it to the end, one of the protesters says "Lyndon LaRouche is back in a big way."

Parenthetically about 10-20% of the audience was wearing a mask, and the average age of attendee was about 60. The protesters were all much younger.

And our Zelenskyites stand with Pelosi, rather than the anti-war protestors. What a revoltin’ development this is.

I believe it's perfectly ok, to see Russia as the aggressor/guilty party, headed by a murderous POS "Cross in the hand, devil in the heart" phony, that invaded a sovereign country.

I also believe, at the same time, it is perfectly ok to see Ukraine as the innocent/invaded country, but stop at that and not want one dime to go to them and to ignore the hero-worship of their leader.

It's sort of like reading about a Dave Grohl and Courtney Love fighting about Kurt. Grohl was the third most talented guy in Nirvana and, like Yoko, has built a grand life atop a corpse (now two corpses). Courtney at least loved and married Cobain but she's a hot mess. Next!

I disagree that being a functioning drunk is sad (though Pelosi is sad for other reasons).

I admire people who can be drunk and still go to work and even appear in public.

As a former drinker, I could barely stay awake after a few extra drinks. And I certainly couldn't string together a complete sentence.

It takes real stamina to be drunk and keep working (and not give a shiite what people think about your intoxicated state).

Back when I was working in NYC, I knew men, and a few women, who could have numerous martinis at lunch--martinis, not light beer--and still work hard until 7:00 pm. (and get a huge amount done). I even knew some who could sip on a flask all day and still function.

Note: I'm not condoning working while drunk. Just making an observation.

Interesting. What is a La Rouche lover? Genuinely curious & the first I’ve heard this.

Time for the FR Biden administration spokespeople to ride to Pelosi’s rescue by calling out those Putin stooge protesters.

I never noticed a LaRouche contingency here, but then I avoid Russia-Ukraine threads like the plague (just like Trump-DeSantis threads).

Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, but these same protestors would still vote for her.

The event also featured economist Paul Krugman.

I don't understand how someone who has been consistently wrong as Krugman can be associated with that job description. He's no more an economist than is AOC.

It's a little bit like the JFK Assassination and the Warren Report. JFK was indeed murdered, and many people stick religiously to "the official story."

Krugman is indeed an economist, and he has a Nobel. People will stick to him accordingly, despite his repeated errors.

To ignore the Obama/Biden/Nuland inspired 2014 Maidan color revolution, with the accompanying Kiev artillery shelling of the Donbass, is to willfully remain ignorant to world affairs. For this you get a gold star.
