he U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) took more than a year to open an investigation into allegedly intentional racial segregation in Atlanta Public Schools and purported retaliation against parents who complained.
The feds may soon face a similar complaint: keeping predominantly black and white elementary schools apart in a summer program intended to mitigate learning loss due to COVID-19 policies.
The nonprofit Committee for APS Progress asked district officials why majority-black Hope-Hill Elementary School in Atlanta would not be housed on the same site as "the rest of the cluster schools" in Midtown — majority-white Mary Lin, Morningside and Springdale — for this summer's Academic Recovery Academy, a departure from last summer.

They look different, but are still racist.
Reminds me of Madison, Wisconsin schools, where they have been programming to close the “achievement gap” for years. And always will be.
Sad thing is segregating won’t get black a better education.
There is a substantial gap in cognition and it’s not going away.

As long as blacks consider getting an education “acting white”, and therefore a bad thing, there is no hope for their future. Democrats want to keep them ignorant and angry. They are more useful that way.
If they gonna separate, then give the left all the teachers that are w9ke liberals, and give the white schools all the teachers that are conservative anti-woke, then sit back and watch the differences between the graduating classes of both schools. My bey is that the conservative anti-woke graduates will be much more prepared for life!

I think it’s time for a major experiment after 2 -3 generations post-CRA. Create a lab-condition environment of all black and all white economies, societies, and laws. Keep them completely segregated for 5 years and then assess.

You’re right, and the trend now is towards re-segregating because of the emotional toll on black students realizing how far behind they are. Black schools (at every level) can protect the “students” from feelings of insecurity as they realize how far behind they are.
Yes, children under age 10 process reality quote well. They know.

Interesting lil tidbit. Both Thomas Sowell & the late Walter Williams stated in several of their books that black children were better educated prior to the Brown v Board of Education decision. Damn close or even superior to many white students.
