The deadly global cooling event starting in 536 AD changed to course of world history.
There have been plenty of global cooling events in recorded human history,
all of them bad. There have been no "global warming" events in human history.
Warmth is good for life.

Agreed. The Dark Age cooling period (some say about AD 300 to 900) and Little Ice Age cooling Period (roughly AD 1300 to 1800's) were much harsher times to live than the warming periods we have recorded history of (Minoan Warm Period: time of Moses, Roman Warm Period: time of Christ, Medieval Warm Period: AD 900-1300, and Modern Warm Period: 1800's to ?).
The people living in British America and U.S. in the Little Ice would never dream that crops would be so plentiful that the U.S. government would pay famers to keep land fallow.
