Five years ago, Andrew Gillum was one of the brightest stars in Florida politics.
The then-Tallahassee mayor had a national profile. He won the 2018 Democratic nomination for Florida governor. And he nearly defeated Ron DeSantis, losing by fewer than 34,000 votes, or 0.41 percentage points.
Then came the fall.
In 2020, he was found by police in a South Beach hotel room in the company of a man who appeared to have overdosed on drugs.
And last year, he was indicted by a federal grand jury, accused of lying to FBI agents and defrauding campaign mega donors and organizations that believed they were donating to legitimate political causes.

How right you are! I’m now thinking back on prior elections and realize that they have been doing this every two years for decades. I suspect that if the truth be told, democrats should control very few counties in this nation. I’m sure that election fraud is what gave California democrats a super majority. Then they started implementing the same in other states one at a time. Oregon, Washington State, etc. They completed taking over Arizona last year by fraud and fake ballots.
I bet every “close” Senate race was actually won by the GOP candidate. The Georgia Senate run-off elections were probably not even needed because the GOP candidate probably won outright in the general. The same goes for so many House seats. If you look at an election map, it is a large sea of red with just small dots of blue in a few area. It’s obvious some (most?) GOP politicians (Kemp?) are aware it is going on but look the other way, or even participate because they are assured they will get “theirs”. Note that all of them (left and right) become rich within a few years of taking office. There may be a few honest ones, but they are few and far between and eventually become embroiled in the machine.
Judges succumb to bribes, threats, or peer pressure and just dismiss the cases on technicalities or procedural law without looking at the evidence. The deep state is real and it is more powerful than any of us realized.

Vote should have never been that close. NEVER. Was super PO’s Desantis never went after Gillums corruption. He should have pressed it and kept harping on it like Dems would do. Gillum should be in prison.

Ugh? no. Desantis won by over 80K votes (still too close) but when they were done counting over and over they could only get it down to 34K.
They got Sen Scott down to 13K but still could not pull it off.
2018 was still a debacle and a test run for 2020 and they were not that focused on Florida anyway.
