Breitbart ^ | 04/17/2023 | AWR Hawkins

President Joe Biden pushed for an “assault weapons” ban, a gun storage law, universal background checks, and the ability to sue gun manufacturers before details about Saturday’s Alabama birthday party shooting were known.

Breitbart News reported that four people were killed and multiple people were injured after shots were fired inside the party venue in Dadeville Saturday night.

The party’s DJ indicated the incident “sounded like an attack with multiple shooters,” NBC News noted. Police have yet to say how many people were shooting, nor have they indicated what kind of guns, how those guns were acquired, or whether any of the guns were stolen.

“a gun storage law”

A thug could be in my bedroom about four seconds after busting into my house.

any shooting fits the democrats agenda. wouldn’t put it past them to plan these events to further their gun confiscation plans.

“ability to sue gun manufacturers”

For what reason?

They don’t get to choose or refuse retail level purchasers.

How about a ban on people pulling the trigger in these crimes? It’s called prison.

I have long believed that is exactly what is happening.

I suspect many urban shootings involve commercial distribution disputes.

“universal background checks”

I'm not aware of any state in the US that allows buying
firearms over the counter without a background check.

.
Did Joey B go to East Palestine, OH?

The first mistake is thinking Biden gives a crap about anyone outside his circle.

He entered Politics as one of the glad handing, telling made up stories, cheap Pols but his interest lied in financial deals for the Bidens.

Why aren’t the shootings on Biden’s Watch be laid at his feet?

They blamed Trump’s words when he was President. Biden peddles hate and unaccountability every single day.

Entirely predictable. But this obscures the fact that we who oppose it need to come up with an alternative policy. It’s not enough to just oppose gun control. We need to stop these shootings. I guess incarceration of criminals, red flag laws and mental institutions are the most likely solutions in the short term. Someone in government needs to start the ball rolling though.

In retrospect, the First Step Act was a mistake, I think. Although the problem began before that was passed. It made things worse, though, I think.

Define “assault weapon”, please. Is a fist an assault weapon? A baseball bat? How about an SUV? Even a firefight in a war zone is not technically an “assault”, the other side is for the most part shooting back. “Assault” implies there was some kind of ambush by an aggressor.

An AR-15 is NOT a “machine gun”, though it does bear some remote resemblance to an M16, which is not actually an “assault weapon” either.

*********************‘Assault Weapons’************************

Knives and forks more have died by them then by guns

Knives = Stabbings

Forks = Obesity

Both require humans to make them operative
