She probably signed a non disclosure agreement for classified information. When I signed the NDA in 1985 it was effective for fifty years. I can’t disclose any classified information until 2035, otherwise I could be charged with a federal crime.

Now it’s a permanent NDA (at least for me it was).
But if she really doesn’t know if it’s accurate or not she didn’t really violate the NDA. She could just say she thought it was CIA misinformation and she was helping. But it will still cost her a ton in putting on a defense. And it’s still a roll of the dice.
