Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy never even watched the footage of Ashli Babbitt’s death, McCarthy admitted to Ashli Babbitt’s mother. Nevertheless, Kevin McCarthy told America that he thought Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd did his job on that fateful day by killing Babbitt. How would Kevin know if he never even watched the Babbitt death footage?
Ashli Babbitt’s mother Micki Witthoeft called NATIONAL FILE’s publisher immediately after her meeting with Kevin McCarthy. During the conversation with NATIONAL FILE, Ashli Babbitt’s mother confirmed that McCarthy told her that he had not seen the death footage. Witthoeft met with McCarthy in March at the Capitol. Witthoeft, who stages protests outside of the D.C. gulag to support the prisoners, has become a leader in the community of January 6 loved ones.

People were streaming that online that day. I can remember watching it and thought it was odd that cops were standing quite close behind her a little to the side.

On another thread it was noted that John Adams successfully defended the British soldiers involved in the ‘Boston Massacre’.
The British justice system of the time not only charged the soldiers with murder, the trial was held in Boston. The Brits did not hide the soldiers in luxury quarters on a military base, nor did King George award them with medals.
This was the brutal government we revolted against in 1775.
Byrd did his job my azz. That was outright murder under all US law and case law.
The Capitol building is not a “deadly force” red lone are like a nuclear bunker. All normal rules apply. Congressmen are not protected by deadly force because you crawl in a window.
She was unarmed, and he illegally precluded all lesser uses of force. He could have physically arrested her, he was MUCH larger. He could have used pepper spray, a taser, a baton, etc.
If this same exact shooting happened at your local mayor’s office window, the FBI would have descended on the cop and he would be in prison for murder. Emotions aside, you cannot gun someone down because they are angry and approaching a congressmans office.
Sorry, but I’ll never get the outrage that people have over that video. She knew that guy was on the other side with the gun, and she and her buddies were breaking the windows with lawmakers on the other side going through that hallway. Everyone on her side of the window knew there was a gun. You can hear them yelling it out before she climbed through.
If she had been a Trayvon Martin type and that had been a security guard protecting employees in a store from people breaking into their last line of defense, everyone on this board would be cheering it, but because she was a Trump supporter, we’re supposed to feel terrible about it. I don’t. Sorry.
Hell, when that nut hopped the fence and ran into the white House and ran all through the ground floor. He was tackled.... not shot without warning. That was by the Oval Office.
If he didn’t watch the video, there was a good reason.
The only reason that I can fathom is that he knew she was murdered, knew of the plan that day, and was in on the plan. That would also be why many wouldn’t vote for him as speaker, and why he had to promise to release all the footage.
The footage hasn’t been released, and he promised, and the reason for that broken promise isn’t ‘security’, IMHO.
Disgusting bootlick comment. Ok, she crawled through a window. And knew the cop had a gun (maybe). She also knew she wasn’t armed at all. She also knew the two SWAT cops right beside her didn’t lift a finger to stop her. Not even verbally.
You actually believe climbing through a broken window is legal justification for a cop to shoot someone? That hasn’t been the case legally for over 40 years.
That sounds like a lie to me. Officer Byrd was hiding in the shadow of a door diagonally away from her with several other uniformed officers very near to her. If Ashli Babbitt had been a threat at all the uniformed officers should and would have acted to restrain her.

Especially when regular ppl are being convicted of murder for merely defending themselves during BLM “protests.” In the latest case, the perp pointed an AK-47 at the victim who shot and killed him. Now he’s going to rot in jail. In Byrd’s case, he shot an unarmed white woman. When is HIS trial starting?
Byrd was hiding out of view, finger on the trigger, gonna get him some MAGA “dirtbag”. And he did, the cowardly pig. He murdered Ashli for simply climbing through a window. He is a MURDERER, plain and simple, and the Brandon WH gave him a GD Medal for it. They will all burn in hell for it.
If McCarthy said that he never heard of Ashlii, or never heard how she was killed, that would be significant. If he never saw video of her being shot, that does not matter.
