Back when Clinton was first elected, 1992, I was working as civilian contractor on a Navy Base.
A woman who worked on the base was fired for violation of the Hatch Act because she campaigned with a sign outside the front gate which was on a public sidewalk and main roadway.
She would just stand a wave at the incoming personnel in the mornings and outgoing in the evenings...............
