Bed Bath & Beyond Inc filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sunday after the home goods retailer failed to secure funds to stay afloat.
The Union, New Jersey-based home goods retailer filed for bankruptcy in a District of New Jersey court, listing both its estimated assets and liabilities in the range of $1 billion and $10 billion, according to a court filing.
Bed Bath & Beyond said that it has received a commitment of approximately $240 million in debtor-in-possession financing from Sixth Street Specialty Lending Inc, according to a separate statement.
The company added that its 360 Bed Bath & Beyond and 120 buybuy BABY stores and websites will remain open and continue serving customers as it begins efforts to effect the closure of its retail locations.

Idiots should have stayed out of politics and just sold sheets.
Zero sympathy for the company go woke go broke but honestly they were pure crap long before the my pillow fiasco
I don’t use apple services or Nike products…..there needs to be an alternative to Google
Replacing them with nonwoke brands will not be easy. They apparently own a lot of common brands and have a ton of market share. Yengleng has been touted as a good replacement. It would be nice to have a larger selection.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group of people.
My SIL went to the one local Bed,Bath, and Beyond last week. You are correct. The doors were open but there was nothing on the shelves.
My observation was from January. The shelves were half full back then.
Vendors don’t like supplying stores that refuse to pay them—surprise, surprise, surprise.
Go woke, go broke.
And yet you support Jens Stoltenberg and NATO's gay agenda...go figure.
I liked BB&B in their best days.
They got undercut by many others, and particularly two types - stores whose store experience was of lesser quality run on buying in massive quantities in order to have price cuts below what BB&B could offer on some goods, and by discount general retailers, like Target for instance, whose revenues, profit margins and profits did not rely only on “housewares” like offered by BB&B.
But that last part was one thing I liked about BB&B. If it was housewares type item(s) I was looking for I did not have to run around a much larger store to get go what I wanted.
I currently have an unused Welcome Rewards pass for 20% off of an entire purchase. Considering a couple major items I might use it for, with a BB&B store credit card.
Bed Bath & Beyond saving.
They were well on the way to broke before Mike Lindell made a single pillow. Just a poorly run company with too much over priced stock.
....”it was a lousy store before ML”.....
I agree. Went there once and noted they were high priced for the quality they presented. DIdn’t carry anything which couldn’t be purchased elsewhere.
our local store always looked like bins of linens exploded out into the aisles.
the prices were outrageous, not a soul able to help on the floor.
killed by amazon imo.
Go there to see what you want, then go buy it on amazon for cheaper.
Went BadAss on MY PILLOW.....BYE BYE BB&B!
If you get a real person they’re not in the USA.
