4 ‘African Socialists’ charged with election meddling for Russia after FIB raided their homes
Four American socialists have been charged with election meddling and spreading Putin’s propaganda after they were arrested in dramatic FBI raids.
The four, are members of the African People’s Socialist Party.
Omali Yeshitela, the group’s chairman was one of the 4 Americans indicted Tuesday for “sowing discord, spreading pro-Russia propaganda and interfering in elections within the United States.”
The DOJ says that the 81-year-old veteran leader of the far-left group conspired along with three others to help Russian efforts to meddle in elections.
Yeshitela has called the charges an “asinine” attack on his organization.
“Russia’s foreign intelligence service allegedly weaponized our First Amendment rights to divide Americans and interfere in elections in the United States,” said Assistant AG Matthew Olsen of the Justice Department.
“The department will not hesitate to expose and prosecute those who sow discord and corrupt US elections in service of hostile foreign interests, regardless of whether the culprits are US citizens or foreign individuals abroad,” Olsen said.
Penny Joanne Hess, Jesse Nevel and Augustus Romain Jr. were the others named in the indictment.
Yeshitela has previously denied being a Russian agent.
“It seems to be a lot of BS from what I can see,” a source familiar with the defense told The Post.
“There doesn’t seem to be any actual evidence that they did the actual bidding of Russia.”

How does one "weaponize first amendment rights"??? We are all free to "weaponize" our right to free speech all we want. Let's see they are also accused of "sowing discord". Again, so what? We are free to sow all the discord we want.....and who the eff are you to say what is "sowing discord" vs what is simply telling the truth?
and "corrupt" US elections? How does one do that absent violating elections laws which nobody is accusing them of doing? Oh! I see! By "corrupt" elections you mean express opinions you don't like.
This is tyranny....and I don't even like these people and I probably don't agree with 99% of their opinions. But if the federal government can criminalize free speech, none of us are safe.

Whether for the Russians, the Chinese, or for the Chamber of Commerce should make no difference.

One simple thing Trump could do as President, by Executive Order - disarm the FBI

Their investigations can continue, but they will need to coordinate with local police or state sheriffs to conduct raids.

What was criminal about it?
They’re free to “sow discord” or “meddle in US elections” as much as they want.
These are just code words for “the government doesn’t like what you said”. Well, tough crap for the government. Read the first amendment to the Constitution.
Of all the election fraud in 2020 the government arrests 3 Africans for their political opinions. What a joke. We truly are a banana republic.
Because they haven't been able to infiltrate it. FBI doesn't mind radical/leftist, or even terrorist groups, as long as FBI have a good idea, or even control, of what they are up to.
There are different rules for different people in this country two standards of justice.

What’s certain is that Big Banks, Big Business and Big Government of both political establishments have a plan to impose “The Great Reset” in the context of a “rules-based international order”.
Anyone “Right” or “Left” that gets in the way of it will be demonized as “extremist” and be dealt with harshly.
The people imposing “The Great Reset” have no restrictions on what Constitutional Rights or laws they can violate to impose their agenda.
It was created by executive order, so it could be eliminated the same way. Teddy Roosevelt's AG created the FBI, so Roosevelt could investigate his opponents in Congress who he suspected of being involved in illegal land deals.

The reporting doesn’t say.
Perhaps the indictments don’t say.
It’s certainly possible that the accused engaged in criminal acts. Certainly they have associations that my preconceptions would lead me to believe that they were engaged in criminal acts.
But that the reports don’t describe the actual acts, but are instead full of yammering about “the Russians” has me withholding judgement.
With respect to the accused, at least. My poor opinion of the media I consider confirmed.
Sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory from election deniers. Hopefully they get sent to re education camps
The problem with eliminating the fbi is that they have blackmail info on every politician (or just make it up)
Plus if you cut their budget they will create crimes and then blame their budget cuts on why they couldn’t prevent it.
