If the Right wants to win, why do they mostly ignore good campaign strategy and tactics?
Example Ted Cruz ran in 2016 claiming a ground game. But his staff had zero ideas or understanding of a ground game. Those of us who love a good ground game were attracted to him for that reason....and left him for that reason.
Honestly, I was rather surprised he only won one primary.
I thought for sure he would do better than that.
Then he got into the Caucuses and won nearly all, if not
all of them. The party wields power in those things. I’m
not a big fan, but it really didn’t endear me to him in
light of what the party leaders wanted.
By the November of 2016, Ted wasn’t a big favorite of mine,
to put it very mildly.
