Republican Voters Across Pennsylvania Are Much Less Wedded to Trump Than You Think

DOYLESTOWN, Pennsylvania—Richard Tems was about as loyal a Trump supporter as you can get.

The Bucks County businessman and GOP committeeman has fiercely defended former President Donald Trump in editorials, interviews with reporters, and conversations with anyone within earshot. He voted for Trump twice and believed he was the right president at the right time.

However, eight years after the New York businessman and entertainer came down the escalator in Trump Tower in June 2015, Tems said he would move on in next year’s Pennsylvania primary. He plans to vote instead for Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., for the Republican nomination for president.

“Why? Well, because DeSantis has done a brilliant job in Florida. He took a tiny little victory the first time, and he turned that state dark red by implementing good conservative policies. He brought in the right kind of people, and he turned that state from being purple, or occasionally blue, to very red,” Tems said.

Tems said what Trump did brilliantly was recognize the public was unhappy with the governing class. But “DeSantis knows that to win, you have to build coalitions, and that is what he did,” Tems said. “He spent four years governing conservatively and building a coalition that not only gave him a win last November, it had coattails for all Republican candidates.”

By the time the dust cleared in Florida last year, there were no statewide elected Democrats left standing for the first time in modern politics. DeSantis won reelection over former Gov. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., by a whopping 19 percentage points, even carrying Democratic Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

The Trump campaign knows their support is soft and that's why they are desperate to stop DeSantis from entering the race.

This isn’t much of a surprise. Trumps constant bashing of Desantis is starting to wear on people. I’m like both guys but he is making it very easy for Ron to be the sensible adult in the room for those conservative independents and soccer moms who do not want Biden.

I am supporting Trump because he’s the only one I’m sure has not and will not be co-opted by the deep state. I can’t say that for DeSantis, he is a professional politician and I have had my fill of those.

The GOP has 500,000 less registered voters in Pennsylvania than the rats. Thus, they lose because of ballot harvesting.

The election will be decided by a few battleground states like PA. Who’s got the best chance to win in such states?

We know Alabama is going to vote republican. It’s states like PA, GA, AZ, WI, and MI that will make the difference again.

But desantis said when asked if he was running for president, that he's not a candidate!

So, do you think desantis was lying when he said he wanted to be re-elected governor of florida,

or do you think desantis is lying now, when he says he's not a candidate?

This is just dumb. Lots of Republicans retired to Florida because it has no income tax and they own their property out of state so they don’t get hit by Florida’s property taxes.

It was happening before DeSantis and will happen long after he is governor. Younger people are Democrats right now and older people are Republicans. That wasn’t true with the Depression generation who seemed brainwashed to love Democrats.

I fear that today’s young people will not become more conservative as they age though since they mostly scoff at religion as unscientific superstition. I never saw that before.

The voters of Penn are not very smart whether they are liberal or conservative. The voters of Penn elected two mentally handicapped men to high office—Joe Biden and John Fetterman. After having done so they still seem to be void of any buyers remorse. How stupid can they be? It appears that they will do it again in the case of Biden.

If Ron Desantis gets the GOP nomination the main stream media will do to him exactly what they did to John McCain. Ron will be their darling until he wins the nomination and then they will devour him. To combat their condemnation he will suddenly swerve to the middle seeking some support. Donald Trump will never do so. And they know it so they will continue to fight him tooth and nail to keep him from getting the nomination. The media will unite with the Deep State to achieve their objective. Thus we will have continue to have a weaponized government against all things conservative.

Trump got more real votes than any other American in history. Note the emphasis on “real”; frankly, he had an estimated 5 to 8 million votes switched on him (Dominion). Biden maybe got 65, 66 million real votes, and that’s a stretch.

DeSantis wouldn’t even crack 70 million, and would not stand a chance against the election fraud. The Fox - Dominion “lawsuit” was actually laundering money from Fox to the Deep State, shoring up Dominion machines and enabling Fox to get rid of Tucker and Bongino.

ONLY Trump has the possibility of beating the Deep State in 2024. I didn’t say “win” the election; in a fair election he’d get 90 million votes and the Democrat Party would be relegated no more effective than the Green Party. But DeSantis or any other “conservative” on the ticket would immediately lose to the election steal.
