When Obama took office in Jan 2009 that had catastrophically dropped to 12.5 million.
When Trump took office was at 12.3, having bottomed at 11.4 in 2009.
When Biden took office it was 12.1 million, having bottomed at 11.4 in 2020 during covid.
It is currently at 12.9 million.
