One U.K. business figure said DeSantis “looked bored” and “stared at his feet” as he met with titans of British industry in an event co-hosted by Lloyd’s of London — the world’s largest insurance marketplace.
“He had been to five different countries in five days and he definitely looked spent, but his message wasn’t presidential,” they told POLITICO. “He was horrendous.”

As much as I despise Charlie “twinkle toes” Crist, he correctly called out DeSantis for not promising to NOT run for the 2024 Presidential election if he won the 2022 governor election.

OTOH, it wouldn’t exactly be a great endorsement if most Brit pols embraced him.
The Brits can’t buy DeSantis, but they can buy into Florida, which was what DeSantis was trying to get them to do.
His ego is getting the best of him. This is self-destruction. He has a clear path in ‘28, not to mention youth is on his side.
He’ll lose. The establishment has feed him a lie.

If personality was what decided our last gubernatorial election here in the sunshine state, we'd be calling Charlie Crist governor right now. Luckily enough Floridians were more focused on results rather than rhetoric.
The problem with DeSantis, is he in all likelihood, hasn’t spent one minute forming a belief or policy that he’d like to pursue on a national stage. He’s been trotted out by the Establishment as the Trump alternative and thus will follow whatever agenda is set for him. He’s a one-term governor that is not ready for the national stage. 2028 would have been his time, but he’s been pushed by the RINO Establishment and is in the process of destroying his political career.
