Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Kremlin-connected businessman who controls the notorious Wagner mercenary group, has accused “decision-makers” in Russia of treason for not providing his troops and military units of Russia's regular armed forces with ammunition needed to fight in Ukraine.
"A criminal group did not give us ammunition,” Prigozhin said in a five-minute audio statement posted on Telegram on April 26 in which he reiterated his claim that ammunition is being stockpiled in depots but not delivered to the battlefield.
Prigozhin claimed his troops have no ammunition to fight against Ukrainian artillery because of "treason" by unspecified top Russian officials, pledging to reveal names "when the time comes."
“I think what is happening today is a crime against Russia and Russian people. The criminals must be held accountable," he said.
Prigozhin said that Ukraine's armed forces will most likely start an expected counteroffensive in early May "to cut our flanks that we are unable to cover" because of the lack of ammunition.
"We are doing all we can with that minimal quantity of ammunition we have now," Prigozhin said in the statement, in which he noted that many Wagner mercenaries had died, were wounded, or had left the group after their contracts expired.
"Those thugs who make decisions, they must be held responsible to the mothers, children, and wives of those who perished, because instead of one person, several people are dying at once. Instead of one person, five die when storming a building, because we do not have ammo."

Running out of ammunition is a good reason to retreat and end your contracts. Do the sensible thing and load up the criminals and thugs, park the military vehicles in Kursk depots, jump on the rail and go bother the nice people of Moscow for political representation.

President Biden is preparing for the eventuality that Ukraine’s “spring counteroffensive” is not the victory they’ve sold to the American people. This was the plan to re-take land that is now part of Russia, namely Crimea and the Donbass region. The President has been telling the American people that continued financial support in Ukraine is necessary for Ukraine to “win” but recently leaked documents show that the administration knows that this is all smoke. They are lying about the extent of U.S. involvement and they are selling us a failed storybook ending, [according to Politico]
What happened to the mountains of ammo the trolls told us about? My guess is the oligarchs and generals sold it off years ago to finance their superyachts, private jets, palaces, and whores.
But it all still existed on paper and gullible leaders like Putin believed the paper.

Losses “5 to 1”? I could swear that the quote in comment 1 above said “ratio of 1 to 5” and not “5 to 1”. Perhaps you can reread it with somewhat more care?
Prigo said he’s losing 5 Wagner for every 1 Ukrainian. That’s why he’s begging the MOD for more ammo.
But just wait until the ground freezes !!!
Prigozhin has said Wagner won’t exist much longer. The Russian military is recruiting in prisons now and Wagner can’t get more recruits.
