Those same voters will also reject Mr DeSantis.

Except in the polling, at least, they're not.

They're rejecting Trump, to be certain. We know this by not only the polling but also by the 2020 results and the midterm debacle where Trump's handpicked candidates lost almost every race.

DeSantis, on the other hand, flipped many formerly blue Florida districts red in his massive landslide re-election, doing better than even the polling predicted.

So you can't really make this argument because the election results (the only poll that matters) don't back this up.

*************

If polling was accurate “your buddy”(sarcasm) the 45th President should’ve suffered two ‘blow out’ election losses in 2016 & 2020.

That didn’t happen.

I look forward to you DeSantis sycophants trying to “shame us” into backing a candidate most of America doesn’t know squat about.

A candidate that will be “provided with baggage” from the same enemies Trump has.

It’s more than that. Trump for years was an international businessman...negotiating large deals and living by his wits. He changed the NY skyline - that is no small thing. He is his own man and I always thought it absurd to call him anyone’s puppet - he of all people is his own man.

Meanwhile DeSanatis is being propped up by the same old RINOS - Paul Ryan, the Bushes, the billionaires who want to buy a politician. I had hopes for him for 2028 but they faded. I don’t think he’s his own man. Might as well elect Paul Ryan.

I don’t see anyone but Trump who is able to confront the evil that we see all around us. Although that Vivek guy sounds good - but he’ll never get elected POTUS - at least in 2024.

And neither will Trump.

That's my biggest problem. He has no path to the White House in 2024.

We can debate bumpstock bans, $4 trillion in Covid spending, gay parties at Mar-A-Lago, and the many other examples of Trump's natural inclination to default into the New York liberal he's been since birth.

I don't care about that so much.

My biggest problem with Donald Trump is that if he's at the top of the ticket in 2024, HE WILL BE SOUNDLY DEFEATED!

And not just defeated for his White House bid, but he'll take the House down with him and any chance for the GOP to retake the Senate. And if the Dems have a strong Senate, they WILL pack the Supreme Court! Mark my words on this.

It will be an absolute catastrophe for America.

DeSantis? Maybe he has a 25% chance at winning but 25% is a helluva lot better than zero percent which is exactly what Trump has.

Well ... you might be right but I hope not.

We are in deep $hit in the USA...China is running rings around us and the WH is filled with traitors to We the People and the Constitution.

Contrary to the opinion of the original article poster, DeSantis didn't "flip" a bunch of blue counties.

The national DNC ballot creation machine pulled all the Florida money, and spent it elsewhere, for three reasons.

They knew DeSantis was going to win anyway, they wanted to "ding" Trump hard with the unrigged results - and they used the money to consolidate control of the US Senate.

The original prediction was for the Republicans to GAIN seats in the Senate.

The Senate ballots were VERY, VERY good for the Democrats in 2022.

ROFL @ 538 polling! Not credible, and I don't care who they're polling. Nate Silver blew 2020 worse than literally anyone else.

That, and election day is 19 months away, literally a lifetime in politics. Anything can happen between now and election day and you can bet your ass it will.

Wrong.

American elections are rigged.

The rigging doesn’t always go the democrats way.(See the 2000 & 2004 General Elections)

Any “yougov” poll is suspicious for me. On line. As for the others, there are a lot of lesser known polling organizations involved that need to be studied, IMO.

I guess my thought is that ‘somebody’ has gone to an awful lot of effort to put DeSantis out front of Trump.

I’ve been reading everyone’s comments on this thread and I have big concerns that no one has mentioned the effect of the Supreme Court decision that rolled back Roe v Wade. Voters blamed Trump and the GOP for losing the right to kill the unborn. The Dems put fear into the electorate by saying that, if the GOP takes the Senate, there will be a nation-wide ban on all abortions. The electorate was stupid enough to believe it and voted Democrat.

That's "The Narrative".

Along with the ballot creation, the DNC's artillery, the Mainstream Media, will pound us with stuff like "abortion got out the vote".

When it's actually getting out The Cheat, and creating ballots to bolster The Narrative.

Let's take a look at DeSanctimonious endorsements. Well, there was at least ONE by Big Greasy, the Meatball getting a -14 SMACKDOWN by Joe OhDeDohDa'Dea.

Trump calls DeSantis endorsement of Joe O’Dea a ‘big mistake’

"President Trump is calling Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) endorsement of Colorado GOP Senate nominee Joe O’Dea, who has repeatedly criticized Trump, “a big mistake.”

The O’Dea campaign on Sunday announced the endorsement from DeSantis, who is also rumored to be considering a 2024 presidential run."

“A BIG MISTAKE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social later Sunday.

The former president has increasingly criticized O’Dea, last week calling him “stupid” and a “RINO,” an acronym for “Republican in name only.”

drew68-next-to-ride-the-Ronlim-lightning-zot-after-Texas-Gator-lofl-zot-zot-zot

Biden was only asked by 5 people at the Federal level for 2022 endorsements. 5. Only 2 lost. That puts Biden > Meatball Ron.
