He’s welcome to run but he will just waste a bunch of money if he does. I wonder what makes him even think he is presidential timber? I mean, I’m glad we have a black guy in the Senate but who does he think will be his base? Jeb voters? All 37 of them?

Some people run for president just to gain publicity and public awareness. Some run to become well knows, so they are in the mix of potential VP running mates.

Some run for president because they have an ego.

Point being, people running for president know they face long odds.

If people did some honest unbiased assessment of their chances of being elected, very few would ever run for president.

Anything that reduces the asset base of the "donor community" is a plus. The more they waste, the better.

2024 is shaping up as a do-over of 1860, anyway, with 4 major parties - the more, the merrier, I say for what will probably be the last Presidential election.
