Nordstrom is planning to close both of its Downtown San Francisco stores, choosing not to renew its lease obligations at its location in the Westfield Mall. It will also close a second nearby Downtown Nordstrom Rack.
The retailer confirmed the closures on Tuesday. In an email to employees, the company's chief stores officer wrote that "the dynamics of the downtown San Francisco market have changed dramatically over the past several years, impacting customer foot traffic to our stores and our ability to operate successfully."
The two planned closures represent about 357,500 square feet of retail space, according to the San Francisco Business Times, which first reported Nordstrom's plans. The Westfield mall Nordstrom and the Nordstrom Rack will close at the end of August and on July 1, respectively.

I disagree with people here who believe we should surrender the West Coast.
1) Our ancestors fought and died to possess that land for the American nation. It belongs to all of us.
2) The harbors at San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle are vital military assets. Within 6 months of Calexit, the PLAN will be homeported there.
3) Lots of Americans live there now under oppression. We promised to defend their States against invasion and rebellion. It’s time to deliver on the promise.

Chamber of Commerce needs to issue an emergency shutdown strike. Just shut down everything for a month and it would be a shot heard around the world. They will have to have the National Guard fly food in so they don’t starve to death.
This would get their attention to fix it... And not just there, every big liberal city in the country would be shaking in their boots worried about it happening there too. It is going to happen anyhow, businesses may as well do it on their own terms rather than suffocate slowly.

We would get fined and jailed for flying it upside down. We would be deemed as insurrectionists.
Lived in Seattle 8 years in the early 2000’s. Even then things were turning. And I’d do weekend trips to Portland and San Fran and it was still enjoyable, with big city sketchy parts, but enjoyable.
I’d say I miss those cities, but I don’t miss what they are now. I miss the memory of what they once were. And sadly doubt they will ever be again.
