A Florida jury on Thursday found Andrew Gillum, a once-rising star in the Democratic Party, not guilty of lying to the FBI but was deadlocked on 17 other charges against him stemming from allegations he illegally solicited campaign donations and then funneled them into his account.
The former Tallahassee mayor faced 17 counts of wire fraud and a wire fraud conspiracy count, each carrying a maximum of 20 years behind bars. He was also charged with a single count of lying to the FBI, which carries a five-year maximum sentence. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
The jury reached a verdict on the FBI charge relatively quickly but struggled for nearly a week to find a consensus on the conspiracy charge and the wire fraud charges.

The FBI process crimes has to stop somewhere. I never expect, in my lifetime, to be approached by the FBI, but given everything I've witnessed about them, I will speak as little as possible to them. Any time a jury rebukes the FBI over alleged falsified testimony, after every false testimony the FBI proffered against their enemies, is okay by me.
The fact that this jury deadlocked on everything else suggest that there is some "there" there, that this jury couldn't agree on. This tells me that this jury agreed on rejecting the FBI, but it will take a new jury that is seated without the FBI being on trial to get to the heart of the matter regarding Gillem.

That this panel of jurors deliberated for an entire week speaks volumes. Good for them in trying to get it right. While A. G. is a complete scum bag and train wreck, I am taking great delight in the fact the SCUMMY TRAITOR FBI lost!
I’ve been on a jury. 11-1
11 for not guilty and 1 for guilty.
It was a rape charge.
I was the lone juror holding out for guilty.
The accused lied on the stand and could not remember basic facts, and stalked the victim. The rape did not culminate in ejaculation, and the jurors were flummoxed by the lack of DNA.
One juror in trying to convince me to change my vote said: We think he’s guilty, but we need more evidence.
I said: That’s it- you either think he’s guilty or you don’t. That’s what jurors do. You have convinced me even more now, that my vote for guilty is right and I am not budging.
It’s not all that easy to be pressured by 11 of your peers to change your vote and to remain steadfast in your convictions.
After 5 hours of deliberation, the judge declared a mistrial.
Correct response to FBI or any other police agency. “Lawyer.” Nothing else. No matter what they say or threaten. “Lawyer.”

Would never vote guilty for a process crime. I don’t care if it was Stalin on trial. This has to stop.
