Former President Donald Trump, a Republican, has opened up a clear lead over President Joe Biden, a Democrat, in the 2024 race for the White House, a Washington Post and ABC News poll shows.
The poll shows 49 percent of respondents said they would definitely or probably vote for Trump against Biden, or that they lean towards voting for Trump, whereas Biden in such a scenario only nets 42 percent.

The fact Trump has such a commanding lead over Biden just about a week after Biden announced his reelection campaign is a remarkable turn of events for the former president. Not since the 19th century when in 1892 Americans elected then-former President Grover Cleveland back into the White House has the nation elected a former president who lost again. Cleveland was the 22nd president and the 24th president.

The only reason for this ABC/WaPo Poll is to take Biden out of the race. You will notice that the media is even bringing up the Hunter Biden stories. IMHO they want Newsom to run in the worst way.

Out of curiosity, I looked it up awhile back. Only one state in the union - Alabama - outlaws all forms of ballot harvesting. That really shocked me.

They’ve been “done” for a long time. GOP/RNC/R’s are losers. As a whole they exist to help the left win. They are good at that.

The popular vote does not matter. It is the Electoral College that elects the president. George W. Bush in 2020, and Donald Trump in 2016 won the Electoral College without winning the popular vote nationally.
Trump in 2016, and Joe Biden in 2020 demonstrated the vote in less than 10 counties can change the vote sufficiently in a few swing states to affect the Electoral College outcome.
The Democrats analyzed Trump’s 2016 victory and observed where the very thin margins of victory for Trump in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arizona came from.
In 2020 they were prepared with court and legislative challenges to voting laws. They were successful in obtaining mail-in voting, extended voting days, ballot collection boxes, looser certification of mail in votes, and other loosening of vote security measures. As a result they were able to target precincts and voters. Through sophisticated ballot harvesting operations and other measures, in a few key counties, they were able to ensure Biden won the Electoral votes in Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
The Trump campaign and RNC failed to mount an aggressive ground game in the swing states to take advantage of the loosening of election requirements in the key swing states. The RNC has failed to aggressively support court challenges to election fraud and has not aggressively tried to legislate stricter controls over ballot chain of custody, unsupervised drop off boxes, and ballot harvesting by social justice organizations. Fraud is only possible where controls are absent and the chain of ballot custody is secure. In other words voter fraud, like any criminal activity, only occurs when it is allowed to occur.
The lessons of 2020, and 2022 are the courts are unwilling to deal with allegations of voter fraud and mismanagement after the votes have been cast and counted. The time to beat voter fraud is prior to the election through improving rules and oversight, while ensuring measures are in place to tightly control ballot chain of custody and make certain only valid ballots from registered voters are cast.
By their behavior it is clear the RNC and most mainstream Republican politicians do not perceive voter fraud, or loose vote regulation, to be a critical issue. By ignoring the situation, they happily accept election losses. So far, 2024 is shaping up to be more of the same. If the tight controls aren’t in place by the end of this year, 2024 will be another year won through ballot harvesting by Democrat aligned social justice organizations, and “adjustments” to the vote count by Democrat politicians overseeing the election process in key jurisdictions like Fulton County, Georgia.
