Ukrainian Air Force, a day later, now says it shot down the kinjal, when they recovered proof.
The confirmation comes after, on Friday, the spokesperson of the Air Force, Iurii Ignat, vehemently rejected the information from the press on this topic: “I told you a thousand times that it is not so (…) No missiles were registered ballistic”.
On Saturday, however, the Air Force Telegram account admitted that the information was real: “Congratulations to the Ukrainian people on a historic event! Yes, I took down the “unmatched” Dagger (Kinjal in Russian)!”
“It happened during a night attack on May 4 in the sky of the Kiev region. The X-47 missile was launched by a MiG-31K from Russian territory,” the quoted source said, also referring to “information that the enemy can use” – a possible explanation for the previous official position.
