Jordan Neely’s attorneys rip into Marine Daniel Penny’s statement, beg Adams to ‘give us a call’

Attorneys for the family of Jordan Neely on Monday ripped into former Marine Daniel Penny’s statement that he “never intended to harm” the homeless man when he placed him in a deadly chokehold on the subway last week.

Lawyers Donte Mills and Lennon Edwards said both Penny’s actions aboard the train and his apparent lack of apology or regret in a statement issued through his attorneys on Friday “show why he needs to be in prison.”

“He never attempted to help [Neely] at all,” the attorneys wrote. “You cannot ‘assist’ someone with a chokehold … In short, his actions on the train, and now his words, show why he needs to be in prison.”

Through their lawyers, Neely’s family also begged Mayor Eric Adams to “please give us a call.”

Doesn’t look like Neely’s family did much for him before he died. These people are ghouls.

If anyone wonders why, when threatening situations happen, why don’t men intervene, or why doesn’t anyone want to get involved, this case may well be Exhibit A why people don’t want to get involved.

If this marine is indicted, that would demonstrate to all, what will happen to YOU, if you attempt to intervene in a threatening situation.

“You cannot ‘assist’ someone with a chokehold"

I think he was focused on assisting the other people on the train who were being scared by the criminal who was running wild.

this case may well be Exhibit A why people don’t want to get involved.

Many of us grew up with the story of Kitty Genovese who was raped and murdered in NYC while neighbors did nothing. In fact, that story was not reported accurately and the facts were a little different from what many have come to believe. Still, the story of Kitty Genovese has served as an object lesson for 60 years that Good People actually get involved when bad stuff is happening.

And here we are, moving fast to learn the opposite.

Daniel Penny needs to move to Oklahoma. I’d gladly welcome him as my neighbor. He’s not safe in NY.

If this is exhibit A, Daniel Perry is exhibit B........unfortunately Kyle Rittenhouse is apparently the exception not the rule.

“attorneys for the family of Jordan Neely”....

That right there says it all. Where was this “family” for the years he was living on the streets, attacking people and being arrested 44 times? Where were they? He was worth nothing to them... until he was stopped from terrorizing any more people. Then they see $$$.

People disgust me.
