The mother of a six-year-old boy who shot his teacher in the classroom says her son felt 'ignored' in the days before the incident.
Speaking for the first time since the incident Taylor told Good Morning America that her son was suspended the week before the shooting for 'knocking the phone' out of his teacher's hand 'on accident.'
But Zwerner said that the child was 'violent' in the lawsuit, claiming that he 'slammed the cellphone on the ground so hard that it cracked and shattered.'
Taylor described her son as a 'great' and 'energetic kid', claiming he doesn't talk about the incident, but he does speak about the 'day or two days before'.
'He would come home, and say "Mom, I don't think she was listening to me. I didn't like that."
When asked if she felt responsible for the incident, Taylor said: 'Yes, of course.
'That is my son so I am, as a parent, I would be willing to take responsibility for him because he can't take responsibility for himself.
'I truly would like to apologize and that out of the incident, she did get hurt.

Apologizes she got hurt, but not that it happened because of the actions of her son.
Basically a fake apology and acceptance of responsibility.
Mother is trying to lay blame on the teacher because her son 'felt ignored'.
Yep.
We have raised an entire generation of narcissistic sociopaths, y’all. The Internet, specifically social media, have bred teenagers who absolutely must be the center of attention... at any cost.
Sick little bass turd, ain’t he. He’s going to make an excellent school mass shooting murderer. Quick. Give him his five million. Maybe he’ll go away.
I remember many years ago I worked in an after school program at the elementary school close to where I was going to college. Even 30 years ago it was like this. I would have parents come in to pick up their child and we would report misbehavior to them. Most of them said “my son wouldn’t do that”. So, I started getting up in the media room above the basketball court indoors and I would video tape the child that day. Seeing the look on the parents faces when they actually see their child acting terrible was always one of those little things in life that can give you pleasure!
and I would video tape the child that day.

Did you blur out their lovely little faces?
Or
Mother is trying to lay blame on the teacher because her son was 'dissed'.
‘Most of them said “my son wouldn’t do that”.’
I used to get in trouble a lot at school. My parents didn’t disbelieve the teachers or principal, but they would always say “he’s such an angel when he’s at home”.
Well, yeah, because my dad would whup me with a belt if I wasn’t... the teachers never did!
One of the first lessons a 6 year old is expected to learn in school is the notion of waiting your turn.
Another idea the kids must accept is the teacher is there for all her kids in that classroom, not just particular selfish brats. She is not supposed to be your One to One Babysitter.

This happened in Virginia.
How about “I made mistakes with my child and I own up to it.”
My dad always told the principal “beat his butt if he does anything, you don’t have to get my permission....just do it. LOL I knew that getting trouble at school would in turn get me in trouble at home, which I knew better than to start that down the road.
No but of course back then nobody cared about blurring out their faces. Of course we only used it to show the little angel acting up. But in the late 80s and early 90s you could do things like that. Probably not anymore.

My kids are 15 and 19.
When they were little, all of their cousins and most of our friends’ kids were allowed to use DVD players with headphones at a restaurant.
Our kids were not allowed. They could do crayons if restaurants had them.
But they had to interact with other humans. When old enough, they had to order for themselves with eye contact, please and thank you.
Those other kids? Mom ordered. Kids got annoyed if you needed to speak to them and treated their parents like trash. Food was eaten while still watching with those headphones.
It wasn’t just the internet. It was *screens* and tuning out from humans that did this to some kids. Now it is the iPhone with AirPods… but the effect is the same.
As a kid (70s) if a kid was bad in a restaurant, a parent would take them outside or (gasp) lock them in the car until they were ready to behave. Now, it’s a screen.
They haven’t learned to behave, let alone talk to elders.
It’s a generation of sociopaths.
Which makes it an even bigger surprise.
After the state decided to destroy their past it was generally understood there would be no further need for misbehavior.
Perhaps the problems have been misdiagnosed.
So, the real crime here is the teacher’s raci*m. Got it!
