After the town hall, CNN’s Gary Tuchman spoke with eight members of the audience, most of whom were Trump supporters. One of the interesting things about their response was that they felt the same way about Trump after the event, it didn’t make them think more or less of him. But CNN immediately got hammered with their first question. Tuchman didn’t act as much like a moderator trying to get their opinion as a Democratic propagandist trying to impose his own opinion on them. He prefaced his question by saying Trump was a liar and then asked about Trump talking about 2020 during the interview. Does it bother you that he keeps talking about 2020 and not 2024, Tuchman asked a 40-year-old audience member.
The audience member looked at Tuchman like he had three heads and said, “Part of it’s also the media narrative.” He noted that the first question that CNN asked was about 2020, that’s why Trump was talking about it. “Couldn’t the media ask about 2024?” he suggested pointedly.
Could it get any better than that? That had Tuchman scrambling backwards and having to admit well yes, they were concerned about it — “That’s something that was on our mind” — that’s why that was their first question. Exactly. Yes, Trump talks about it and yes, Americans want to hear about 2024. But it’s the media who want to focus solely on 2020 and on Jan. 6, and things they think might hurt Trump as opposed to policies or the successes he had as president. Trump had plenty to say about the current situation and what he would do to make things better right now, after the disaster of Joe Biden. He spoke about the economy, the Second Amendment, abortion, the crisis at the border, and Ukraine

I didn’t hear it, but it sounds like Trump did what I hoped he would do: Blow CNN out of the water.
Trump nailed it given the context of the situatiion.
Without sorting out 2020 there is no 2024.

Next time he network should just let President Trump read the questions himself. He obviously knows what they are likely to ask and they can save themselves their limited talent and embarrassment.

The only thing about 2020 that is relevent to me is election shenanigans (voter rolls, ballot harvesting, mail in ballots, etc.). Those methods of cheating/abuse need to be shut down.
Trump fell for CNN’s baiting.
He really needs some short and dismissive answers and then say let’s talk about the pain people are feeling and how he is going to restore the great economy he had pre-Wuhan Flu.
Yes, he should call it Wuhan Flu over and over.
But spending the first 25 minutes on 2020 was Trump taking CNN’s bait.
He did great with the Ashli Babbit answer for Jan 6.
CNN tried to bait Trump into choosing a “team” Ukraine or Russia? He answered that brilliantly.
Again, only our side cares about 2020 fraud. Independents care about the cost of food, rising interest rates, etc.
Trump can win if he doesn’t let himself get derailed like this.
CNN just wanted sound bites they could let the Dems use.
Even CNN does not have the full town hall available - just a minute here, a few seconds there - all to fit their anti-Trump commentaries.

And unless and until those irregularities - violations of state election laws, polls "closing": early and then continuing to bring in crates of ballots and counting after monitors had left, thumb drives being passed from individuals to counters, monitors being blocked from viewing the counting, even being forced to leave by police - and many other incidents were never actually investigated and no courts intervened.
Real elections cannot exist when this kind of openly visible cheating takes place - and nobody in government investigates and the media characterizes it continually as a "lie".

Exactly why Trump is needed more than ever. Sometimes, as a leader, you need to lead. Go back to the 2008 or 2012 election debates...How many times was China mentioned? Go back to 2014 election cycle. How many times was China mentioned. How many times did they mention bringing manufacturing back to the US. By the way, people in the country have been talking about both those topics for decades. Trump lead the country to focus on those things. Election integrity is absolutely essential for the survival of the Republic. If people don’t get it, they require a leader who is bold enough to speak the truth. This is EXACTLY why the governor of Florida is not the right time for now. He’s more of an admonitrator (just like he himself said). Once they path is clear he’ll do the work to take you there. He cannot, himself, set the path. That job, in this time, is President Trump’s calling.
It was a very good straight forward answer. Lets stop the killing and I'll have peace in 24 hours and it wouldn't have happened if he was Prez.
You would think would resonate with the Hippy crowd from yesteryear "The war is over" crowd, "What are we fighting for" crowd and the like. But because their comrade is in power they are profiteers. What hypocrites.
I also liked he did not back down on abortion and described it as it is, killing babies. Not once did he say fetus.
Trump said, and I paraphrase If we cannot question election results then we are done as a nation.
I agree with him.
Welp, I though he made a mistake, but it seemed from what I’ve read he did well. SO I AM VERY PLEASED. However the panel should have been independent and undecided voters, Trump HAS to sway them. Those selected are the choir he was preaching to.
