HENDERSONVILLE — Several residents held up protest signs — at a City Council meeting with no scheduled public comment session — on April 26, when a plan was proposed “to implement ways to bolster diversity, equality and inclusion within the government and city limits,” Asheville TV station WLOS (News 13) noted.
“It’s all about us establishing the baseline for how our organization moves forward and interacts with our community,” City Manager John Connet was quoted as saying by News 13. “Some of our community feel like their voices have not been heard, and we wanted to have a process where we did hear those voices.”

Unfortunately, for many people terms like communism and Marxism are meaningless because of the lack of education about those things in American schools. People don’t KNOW what both of those ideologies have wrought in history.
They are busy in Appalachia...the former City Manager of Asheville is now the city manager of Johnson City, TN...a pro-DEI group known as ‘Raftelis’ has been active in the Tri-Cities region...progs have infiltrated the aldermen in other smaller cities in these areas...

DEI is terrible... it is racist, causes more division, and distracts from real goals.
That’s the goal of DIE. The issue is the Stalinist revolution.
The whole idea is reprehensible. Merit is the only possible metric. Elevating someone solely because of their color or queer status is a recipe for disaster. And guess what? If there aren’t enough of one particular shade of folks in a given profession it is because of a lack of skill, and nothing else. Too bad. Get over it.
Hendersonville is the only place I’ve seen a man plowing a field using a mule.

That’s the problem right? Hire city managers or school superintendents, give them a ridiculous contract because it’s the only way to find a good one, and then you’re screwed.
At the end of the day this is all about making money off the taxpayer, not having to actually do anything and if there are any questions, you’re every ‘ist’ they can think of, to shut you up.
So pony is $100k or more for a job where the person doesn’t have to do anything. Then they get their friends to teach a class for an insane fee and get a nice kickback.
Good work if you can get it.
