More than 40 years after he tried to kill the president, John Hinckley Jr. is trying to to forge a new path.
In 1982, Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity after shooting and wounding President Ronald Reagan, as well as the White House press secretary, a Secret Service agent and a Washington police officer.
Then 27, Hinckley was committed by the court to St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he lived until 2016, when the court granted him convalescent leave, allowing him to live with his mother in the gated Kingsmill community outside of Williamsburg. He continued to live under court restrictions until last June, when he was fully released.

They could sell weirdo trinkets and "art" on Etsy and eBay. As a power couple they could recruit other "artists" for their "collective", like Hunter Biden and Ron Reagan Jr.
For what it is worth, at least when you buy from Hunter Biden, you obtain some promises.

He will probably find a lucrative market for his Art, regardless of how that Art appears. The novelty and notoriety aspects for certain collectors will automatically add some degree of dollar value to whatever Hickley produces.
There are collectors for objects that can be proved to have belonged to Jesse James, Billy The Kid and John Dillinger, as examples. The fact that they killed innocent people does not seem to deter the public from being interested.
Jody Foster never did call John Hinckley after the assassination attempt. It was supposed to have been Hinckley’s big bid for Jodie’s affections.

His obsession with Jody Foster has apparently moved on to Yoko Ono.
They were very wealthy, but kicked their mentally ill son out of the house based on the often flawed theory of Tough Love.
Hinckley destroyed James Brady's life with a head shot, and almost killed Reagan and a Secret Service agent.
James Brady eventually died from the shooting.
