Teachers Get Their Due Two Years After School System Fires Them for Not Getting Vaxxed
PJ Media ^ | MAY 13, 2023 | Chris Queen.

When the COVID-19 vaccines emerged, the narrative started out as a suggestion that people get should the vaccines (and what would apparently become endless boosters)

....

It didn’t take long for the narrative to turn to “get the shot — or else” for far too many people. Vaccine mandates hurt employees across many sectors of the economy, but those vaunted “essential workers” often bore the brunt of them. First responders lost their jobs, and when teachers weren’t having to educate kids remotely, many of them faced unfair mandates.

Now, three Rhode Island teachers who lost their jobs under a vaccine mandate in 2021 are being rehired and receiving a settlement for their trouble. The Barrington School Committee sacked Brittany DiOrio, Stephanie Hines, and Kerri Thurber over their unwillingness to take the vax. The teachers applied for a religious exemption to the vaccine, but the school system denied the exemption...

the teachers “failed to follow the district’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate.” (Remember, comply or else!) However, they sued and won. In addition to giving the teachers their jobs back, the school system had to pay a total of $493,000 in damages.

“In coordination with our legal counsel and Superintendent, we determined this ongoing, expensive litigation would likely continue for a lengthy period of time, and a resolution should be reached,” the School Committee announced in a press release. “We believe our administration’s time, and our district’s financial resources, should be spent on the daily work and mission of Barrington Public Schools.”

...

the teachers .. are officially reinstated.

...

I’m sure I’m not alone in hoping that we’ll hear more stories like these. It’s immensely satisfying to see institutions that forced people to comply with ridiculous COVID policies held accountable for denying freedom in such a forceful way.

Lets see this happen around America and especially at hospital systems that fired vaxxxxxxx resisting nurses. As far as I can see Docs resisted less...... Or maybe got secret saline injections. Or got injections from Pfizer vaxxxxxx boxes that were left at room temperature for a week.

The frightening thing was how little resistance there was to the vax mandate to begin with. These teachers and other resisting professionals were a very rare minority.

This revealed that America had been prepared for government control by years of careful indoctrination.

We see it now in our schools/colleges, business organizations, and even churches as they easily comply with mob rule regarding the Woke Movement.

The mystery is, what happened to make people so compliant. Was it their isolation caused by heavy internet usage, by constant media indoctrination? Was it organic or the result of some conspiratorial plan, or both?

In a FREE country with a government of the people, for the people and by the people, there is no such thing as a “government mandate”.

You can take that to the bank!

Actually, you can't take that to the bank.

There is no such thing as a completely "free" country in that all countries have rules (mandates). You must obey certain laws, you must defend the country when called upon to do so (military draft), you must obey the government when the government decides that a required action is necessary for the general safety of the populous (like, in this case, the vax).

What was strange here was that going into the COVID "emergency," certain parties (the Democrats, the media, the health infrastructure) started lying right from the start. And after Trump's voters were ceremoniously denied victory in the election, Americans had good reason to believe that we were in the midst of a coup...and therefore everything coming out of the government was potentially a lie in the furtherance of that coup.

I wonder if any male teachers took a stand against the vax. Was it only females who had the balls in this school?

the trouble with all this is the actual people who fired them are not harmed in any way... tax payers will pay the settlement. The little Hitlers will not be charged a dime...

The mystery is, what happened to make people so compliant.

I would think it is the potential of not having a job.

Motgages need to be pais.

That such things happen is true, but that does not make them good or right. The draft and vax mandates are an example of unscrupulous people gaining the reigns of power and oppressing others.

Yes, it's the common state of man, but that state also includes many injustices and evils like murder and theft.

Vax mandates are unjustifiable and wrong even for vaccines that work.

Good point.

That said, the question arises as to how it became a matter of compliance versus job loss.

Surely senior members of organizations that would use the threat of job termination to implement the mandate had a chance to resist. Why were they so eager to comply?

I guess the answer might be that the Marxists had long infiltrated the government at the very top and the job loss threat trickled down from there.

I still find the entire matter a mystery. It must have been very well planned and organized to be so effective.

And if you think anything about the pandemic or jabs was constitutional or had to do with the safety of the populace...

I didn’t say or imply that I approved of the vax mandate, did I?

The Suspension Clause protects liberty by protecting the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus. It provides that the federal government may not suspend this privilege except in extraordinary circumstances: when a rebellion or invasion occurs and the public safety requires it.

Article I

Section 9 Powers Denied Congress

Clause 2 Habeas Corpus

The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

Keep in mind folks that the same people who did and supported the mandates are still in power and right now they are cooking up the next calamity. If you disagree, you’ve not learned anything from the past 3 years.

You're comment was "if you think"!

I "didn't think" that "anything" had to do with the safety of the populous or that the intent was constitutional.

I think the Constitution was being circumvented for the sake of a Marxist's deprivation of power.

But you are trying to be contentious, aren't you? Looking for petty issues that you can find fault with.
