At least three people were killed and two cops injured after a gunman opened fire in Farmington, New Mexico.
Farmington police said the gunfire broke out on Dustin Avenue between Ute Street and Apache Street on Monday morning, with multiple civilian victims.
The shooter, who has yet to be identified, was shot and killed by responding officers, with two of the cops shot and wounded.
The officers, from the Farmington Police Department and New Mexico State Police, are both being treated for their injuries and are listed in stable condition.
The city has since lifted the lockdowns placed on local schools and medical centers.

Don’t bet on him not being White. Farmington has gone through a very economic tough time with the power plants closing.
When I lived there in the 1970s a man on our street shot his family and then himself.
Just before that some teens murdered several Navajo men just for the fun of it.
And when the mass killings became popular some man in Aztec tried to pull off a school shooting.
My first thought. I have been telling my New Mexico friends with Abbott shutting down the flow in Texas, New Mexico is going to get hammered with human and drug smuggling. Gov. Lujan-Grisham will issue them credit cards to the state treasury.
