Central Wisconsin Communities Unite to Stave Off Looming Wind Turbine Industry

Central Wisconsin communities are coordinating efforts to shine a light into the flickering shadow cast by a looming wind turbine industry.

“There is a revolt happening here,” attorney Marti Machtan told The Epoch Times. “I’ve never seen our communities engage like this in my life.”

Machtan is a member of Farmland First, an organization that aims to facilitate discussion among community members concerned about reported coercive, predatory tactics used by industrial wind companies to manipulate landowners into signing their property rights away in the name of green energy.

“These companies are sneaky about it,” Tom Wilcox— also a member of Farmland First and chairman of the Town of Green Grove in Owen, Wisconsin—told The Epoch Times. “They don’t want to come right out and say how this will work. In fact, part of the reason why people don’t know this is happening is farmers have to agree to keep their mouth shut on the details of the contract.”

The "Alternative Energy" industry is nothing but a criminal ripoff of the people. Same thing happens where I live with the nat-gas drillers and especially the pipelines. Big business, with legions of lawyers, screw the landowners blind.

The supplier for most wind farms in the midwest is in Iowa.
You see their big rigs transporting assemblies all over IA, KA, MN, NE and WI.

It makes me think of the helicopter chase in Germany in “Mission Impossible 3”.

You’ve nailed it. No one seems to remember that great worldwide push to build nuclear power plants beginning in the late 50’s and ending in catastrophic failure in the 1970’s. I live in Washington State and remember well the lies, the manipulation, the wasted taxpayer money, and the utter failure of this “Green Energy” debacle. In case you don’t remember, here’s a link to refresh memories: http://https://www.historylink.org/file/5482. Research the WPPSS insanity - the system’s acronym, pronounced “whoops,” came to represent how not to run a public works project. Then, let’s talk about Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, or Fukushima nuclear disasters. What mentally competent person should ever again trust their land, their health, or their financial solvenyt to the incompetence of government and grifting, corrupt utility companies?

There is a problem with the WPPS link text. It should be:

https://www.historylink.org/file/5482

I will eventually learn how to post with an active link. In the meantime, I tested the link text above, and it works. Great article.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The words ‘ripoff’ and ‘scam’ often get tossed out there but the great unwashed don’t understand it... Wind and sunshine are free after all, aren’t they?
I’ve had to attend numerous public power generation and distribution planning meetings and conference over the years and figured out at least a few things about it. I’ve written different pieces about it here and there but just recently, an article showed up that meant for the most part I don’t have to do much more than copy this link...
When this article “The wind and solar power myth has finally been exposed” was posted here on FR a week or so ago, I was thinking “finally, somebody has laid it out exactly what the scam is all about. https://archive.ph/hPjcr#selection-3089.0-3089.141 [*Spoiler alert... it’s all about the efficiency of the gas generation systems that are used for backup.]
The writer of the piece is Bryan Leyland. He is a power systems engineer out of New Zealand with more than 60 years experience on projects around the world... http://www.bryanleyland.co.nz/
Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima were run by incompetent people.
The guys at Chernobyl were experimenting. What does this button do Igor?
https://www.britannica.com/event/Chernobyl-disaster
Three Mile Island - it is also built in the middle of a river, no worry about floods...
https://www.energy.gov/ne/articles/5-facts-know-about-three-mile-island
Fukushima was the dumbest of all. They built it in a known area for tsunamis.
The wave heights in the past were recorded on the mountainside. They were warned before building it. They only built a small sea wall. The power lines were destroyed during the earthquake. They installed backup generators below the wave height of the past tsunamis. They had 50hz backup generators while the other half of Japan had 60hz so no replacements could be installed quickly. Power out so the reactors core melted.
https://carnegieendowment.org/2012/03/06/why-fukushima-was-preventable-pub-47361
FTA: The seawater pumps and their motors, which were responsible for transferring heat extracted from the reactor cores to the ocean (the so-called “ultimate heat sink”) and also for cooling most of the emergency diesel generators, were built at a lower elevation than the reactor buildings. They were flooded and completely destroyed. Thus, even if electricity had been available to drive the emergency cooling systems, there would have been no way of dissipating the heat.
