Numerous Democrats Join Rep. Cori Bush in Demanding $14 Trillion Reparations
Legal Insurrection ^ | 21 May 2023 | Mike LaChance

The reparations panel in California is now recommending up to $1.2 million per resident, but Democrat Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri clearly thinks that’s not nearly enough.

She wants a cool $14 trillion in reparations payments. That’s more than half of the U.S. GDP.

The only purpose of pushing reparations is to induce severe anger in the black community when the reparations never happen.

The game is to make it look like either Trump or some other target entity stole the reparations.

I'd like to know what these Grifters propose we get in return for the $14 trillion? All we hear about is what they demand but never what they're willing to give up in return because if this is really all about slavery, giving them cash doesn't erase slavery.

Greedy bitches ain’t they? Complaining about having been force to pick cotton and not of them ever did an honest day’s work in their pitiful greedy little lives.

So now reparations for slavery is becoming a major issue.

I know some have said these astounding sums of money can never be paid.

If the Democrats choose to pay slave reparations, they will be paid with inflated dollars. The Democrats, assuming they are in charge, will simply increase the money supply to pay reparations.

Just curious - where does that number come from? Why not 140 Trillion? Why not 900 Trillion? Why not a Bazillion?

How about none. How about an entire civil war worth of reparations was already paid in blood.

$15T is an opening bid. I expect it to come down some before it’s approved.

There is no proposal for us getting anything in return for reparations for slavery.

It’s just supposed to be payment for the sins of the past, so to speak.

If this goes forward, it will be some sort of entitlement program.

This is how the left works and how they win, they create the topics that dominate the national conversations and drive the politics.

The left’s topics dominate politics and shift conversations for decades resulting in countless incremental splinter legislative wins which come to shape a new America from when they were first mocked and dismissed.

I have been educated by this board. See Section 4 of the 14th Amendment.

Section 4.
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any state shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Reparations are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

So get rid of the 13th and 14th Amendments (linked), or people should stop asking for them.

The people have learned they can vote themselves a share of the public treasury. There are more takers than makers. The math does not favor there being tricentennial celebration for the once great Republic.

From the article (made up by Bush):

The U.S. benefited from over 222 million hours of forced slave labor, or the equivalent of roughly $97 trillion worth of work, between 1619 and 1865 during the end of slavery, the resolution estimates. But unlike the white enslavers, Bush notes, "those who were stripped of their dignity and made to work without compensation, they weren't repaid."

How do you pay dead people? Who pays? I was never a "white enslaver".
