So many people focused on how other people achieve orgasms. It seems that the people focused on these things are not satisfied with how they get theirs.

It was an attempt to inoculate himself against them accusing him of hiding things.
And to an extent, it worked.
They just did other things, instead.
He actually WAS totally honest and transparent, and so really didn’t care if they came and watched. So, inviting Woodward in to have unlimited access had no real effect on what he was doing, or going to do.
It’s like this- if I was in charge of counting the money at the bonk, I would WANT to have people watching me. The more the merrier. Then no one can say “Aha! money is missing- it must have been when you were counting it”
I think it was less about ‘getting them to like him’ and more about ‘come and see for yourself’ so they could not make up lies about what he was doing.
Not that it stopped them from making up other lies. Which are unraveling.
