May 23, 2023, 2:55 AM EDT / Updated May 23, 2023, 9:04 AM EDT The driver of a truck that crashed into security barriers near the White House on Monday night has been identified as a 19-year-old from Missouri who was arrested on multiple charges, including threatening to kill or harm a president, vice president or family member, officials said.
The driver was Sai Varshith Kandula of Chesterfield, U.S. Park Police said Tuesday morning.
