“Well, I guess this is one of those straw meets camel type situations. People can only get pushed so far before they stop thinking rationally and just want some payback.”

That’s a real possibility. I have to guess the employee may have witnessed a lot of thievery and just went postal. Bad decision though.

We the People must protect each other on the street and IN THE COURTROOM.

The police, the prosecutors, and the judges conspire against us.

I will never convict anyone of felony for taking out the trash.

It's more than just a "possibility" - the social contract between government roles in providing expected services and the citizens are steadily dissolving. Everywhere. Consequently people will get to feeling cornered, frustrated. I can tell you this is just ONE incident that made it into the media. There are many others that don't. There are people who are on a slow burn over the chaos and lawlessness being thrust upon them, having problems with this new normal we all are getting stuck in.
