canada is NOT a land of enlightened freedom. It is a fascist dictatorship, with the people willingly bowing down in total submission, afraid to lose their benefits from the government.
First they get you hooked on the “benefits.” (Your money, processed, reduced, and doled out to the citizens in function of how much it keeps the politicians in power.)
Then they take away your freedoms and make it clear that your benefits will go away if you vote for freedom.
Then they make benefits dependent on your total, unqualified conformity to their dictates. The USA is at that point now.
Ultimately they reduce benefits to a vanishing point, while giving your money to your replacements who are more loyal to the government than you. A little government-sponsored euthanasia takes care of the ones who just won’t go away. This stage is in process in the USA at this time.
Wow. I would call this slavery. Working for no pay, huh? No words.

Based on my brother’s experience 20 years ago... When crossing the border, when they ask if you own any guns just say, “NO.” He answered honestly and said “YES.” Then they asked if he had any with him and he answered honestly again, “NO.”
They believed him when he said yes, but not when he said no. He was directed aside and his vehicle and luggage were searched thoroughly, delaying his trip almost an hour.
Moral of the story: If a totalitarian government official asks you a question, don’t hesitate to lie and give him/her/it the answer he/she/it wants.

.....you know I think there is a lot of truth to that only my experience has been slightly different. I show up with my 6 or 7 pages of what they call PALS paperwork all filled out. He “glances” at them, asks me if I have the guns with me.................I reply “yes...., want to see them” and he says “no”.........then he stamps my PALS paperwork and asks for my $25.00 fee and off I went.
So, several times, years apart sometimes, even though I have the guns and tell them I have them and also invite them to come look at them.................they have so far, in about 4 different episodes, just waved me on.
I’ve had mounties get on my boat on the Yukon, waaaayyyyy back in the bush, with guns laying everywhere, and say absolutely nothing about the guns. In fact, they volunteered to help me with my GPS on a technical issue.
I have nothing but respect for the Mounties I’ve encountered. Very polite and very respectful.
