I’m fine with the holiday, though it is a pretty minor one in the annals of history. But, whatever. We have a day named after a groundhog.
What annoys me is the name “Juneteenth”. It only reinforces the [mostly false] perception blacks are too ignorant, uneducated and slow to use proper English. “Ebonics” is not a language or even a slang. People whose phrasing is called “Ebonics” are universally morons.

Juneteenth . . . is celebrated on the anniversary of the order, issued by Major General Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865 proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas. I hate to break it to these people, but General Granger was white.
