San Francisco man crowdfunding to escape ‘zombie apocalypse’ neighborhood
NY Post ^ | 06/02/2023 | Yaron Steinbuch

A fed-up San Francisco resident has decided to leave his crime-ridden, drug-infested neighborhood that he says reminds him of a “zombie apocalypse” — and has launched a fund-raising campaign to pay for his move.

Darren Mark Stallcup, 26, an activist living in the Golden City’s Tenderloin neighborhood, is seeking to raise $6,000 to relocate, telling Fox News Digital that he was “witnessing a fentanyl genocide.”

“It is with heavy heart that I’m saying goodbye to my apartment in the Tenderloin. I can no longer live in a neighborhood where I’m constantly tripping over bodies, fecal (matter),” and needles,” he said on a GoFundMe page, which he launched in April.

“Our community has become uninhabitable. This is a humanitarian crisis. My apartment has been broken into multiple times. All of the stores have been ransacked. Living in the Tenderloin has been a traumatizing experience and it is time to move,” he continued.

Is San Francisco the ultimate example of what is happening to our culture? That city led the way on so much of the neoliberal agenda. No one could have predicted that it would all start to fall apart. /S/ on that last bit.

My first thought was to find out how he voted. This putrid mess is likely of his own making.

It’s crazy isn’t it? San Francisco is among the most liberal places in America. They can enact liberal laws and policies with no opposition from Republicans or anyone else, because Democrats run that city, politically.

There seems to be a “disconnect”, in that, some people do not connect liberal policies to the severe sociological problems of a place like San Francisco.

Think he learned anything about which policies will lead to what outcomes? I don’t. He’ll just go be an “activist” where he personally doesn’t have to deal with as many of the results brought about by “activists”.

SOB should use his own money if he wants to move. He's 26 years old. Get hustling, bub. Quit your high tech panhandling. You are the same as those you decry.

...he was “witnessing a fentanyl genocide.

Fentanyl deaths are a result of the CHOICE to use/abuse drugs. They help rid us of undesirables.

The evil capitalist exploiters should stop making people pay for fentanyl.

It should be free!

“an activist living in the Golden City’s Tenderloin neighborhood”

“an activist” - I’m going to go out on a limb and guess he was a big part of the problem.

Guaranteed!

He’s an “activist” - an unemployed bum living off some “homeless” pimping organization.

“Darren Mark Stallcup, 26, an ‘activist’ living in the Golden City’s Tenderloin neighborhood”

Activist means he doesn’t have a job and wants other people to pay his way.

I lived there in the late 80’s, it was still mostly pretty decent.
But liberal policies were taking over even then .

San Francisco is exhibit A in how liberal policies DESTROY ANYTHING GOOD.

I just did something very unfreeper-like. I actually looked beyond the headline.

He’s actually on our side, so I sit corrected.

My first thought was to find out how he voted.

Fox News identified him as a Republican.

I guess it depends on how you define "Republican."

San Francisco used to be a lovely city. I remember my visit there for a conference in the 1990s!

There were friends who took me out to dinner every night, and the restaurants were great!

I needed hiking boots to climb the hills. But I experienced NONE of the urban hazards cited in any article about the city in 2023!

You're right. I'm sick and tired of hearing lousy excuses for crowdfunding. Should be for people really in need due to unfortunate illness or accident. But these young crybabies want to be pampered as they wallow in filthy nirvana. Tenderloin is the worst neighborhood to choose; he chose poorly. Plenty of cheaper safer neighborhoods to settle in SF.

If this guy just skipped out of his last months $6,000
rent payment he could leave SF for better pastures...
