Yes but that’s not the case here.
Justice and his family have always had a huge business ethics problem. It’s well known in the state. His mines rightly or wrongly have a long history of safety violations that he just ignores. Prefers to fight back with lawyers rather then fix!

I am sorry you don’t like this news. But these are the facts!

Rule-of-thumb: If you are going up against Rats, don’t make it easy for them by having a huge number of skeletons in the closet. If you do, they will make them publicly dance!

Manchin has his own coal skeletons.

The MVP is a major bummer for people supporting Manchin.

Agree!

Manchin made his initial money as a coal broker. Nothing inherently illegal about that. However, there is likely opportunity shady dealing.

In fact, during the Bush II administration there was an investigation going into some of Manchin’s dealings. I don’t remember if they were prior to Manchin’s foray into politics or some suspected shenanigans during his first term. Anyway when Zero took office the investigation disappeared.

Anyway, that doesn’t matter now because of who controls the DOJ. Rule-of-thumb for Republicans: Don’t give Rats hammers because they will hit you! If Rats give Republicans hammers, they will forget what end to use even if the bother to pick the hammer up!

I think Justice will win the primary and beat Manchin. Justice’s piccadillies regarding his business practices have long been discounted by WV’ians. He saved the Greenbriar & he’s been a decent governor. Also, I think people are sick of Manchin’s fence dancing.

My West Virginia view of the matter ...

Jim Justice is a mudpuddle.

Joe Manchin is a cesspool.

I expect that I’ll vote for Alex Mooney in the primary and Jim Justice in the general.

That’s exactly what I am doing!

I wish Mooney had waited, served another term or two or even three in Congress. Justice is old and not in good health. He’ll only serve one term. Mooney running right looks too politically ambitious for a relatively new WV’ian. Looks positively carpetbagger! It will help against him, particularly if he should actually beat Justice. (Which won’t happen!) He should challenge Capito its time to send that RINO packing before more of the Moore brood get in! There are several waiting in the wings.
