Soylent Green anyone?
At present, most cultured meat companies still use fetal bovine serum (FBS) as the growth medium, which is obtained from unborn calves that are cut out of the womb and drained of their blood while still alive.
Well, that, and it takes 60x the amount of CO2 to manufacture than the current product.
Its a phenomenon I call the “Frankenstein Left.”
Anything God, Natural Law, or human society have developed naturally over human history, they attempt to bound, control, re-invent, and promote according to the post-modern Left’s perverse emotions and power games. On the surface it appears somewhat recognizable, but its actually an empty, ugly and perverse facsimile - just like Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein
Whether it is gay-marriage, PC sexual consent, Christian equality or even pretend-meat - its all part of the “Frankenstein Left.”
You know what’s next. Lab-grown homosapien meat using human fetal serum. Someone’s probably already doing it.
I’m completely surprised that they’re not growing ‘meat’ on the backs of lab rats, LOL!
I’m going out to the barn to hug my steer and feed him a beer! ;)
High carbon footprint
Low carbon footprint(from article that calls this sustainable)

It's like they don't realize what it takes to manufacture all this infrastructure and then run it. I work at a place that makes plastic film and bags. Their electric bill is $50k a month.
But what this really comes down to is wealth changing hands and control via patents. Instead of farmers, it will be "growing technicians". Fake Meat processes will be patented as will the equipment. Vertically farmed crops will be CRISPR Cas9 patented plant varieties.
The cells themselves if found growing in the animal would be diagnosed as cancer because of their fast growth rate.

So they kill a calf so they can use it’s blood to grow meat in a lab. How much meat can they grow that way? So unless they can grow many times the meat the calf would have produced this seems to be ridiculous. Well, at least lab grown meat doesn’t fart ... or does it?
