Was in a 7-11 the other day they had Modelo and Bud Light stacked 6 feet tall side by side. The Bud Light 12 pack cans were $10.99 with $1 instant coupon. So 83 cents a can (plus tax and the aluminum can fee our state charges). Good price. Still didn’t buy it. Wasn’t looking to buy beer.

Modelo Especial, I wouldn't drink that Mexican stuff for nothing...
Folks should try making their own brew.. Me and some pals did it for years, it's very tasty..
We haven't done it in a long time, nobody comes around anymore.. I guess we all got too old, fat and lazy... :(

Modelo isn't technically a "rival."
Buttwiper and Modelo are both owned by Inbev. They're competing "brands" but the contribute to the same bottom line.
Smart people would figure that out and boycott ALL Inbev brands. But we don't live in a world of smart people ...

Modelo is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev everywhere except the U.S., where it’s owned by the New York-based, world-dominating conglomerate Constellation Brands. I was thinking Big deal they are both owned by the same company.
But not in the US.
Must be a FTC thing that they didn’t want InBev owning all the major beer companies.
