California State Sen. Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, urged parents to "flee" the state before it's too late if they "love their children" in response to what he calls alarming language in a gender identity bill. Legislation AB 957 cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee with an 8-1 vote on Tuesday.
Conservative outlet The Daily Signal reported that the warning followed a Democratic senator's recent amendment to identify "gender affirmation" among children's needs for "health, safety and welfare." If parents refuse to affirm their child's preferred gender, they could face child abuse charges and lose custody disputes.
Critics of the bill say its ambiguous language could mean that parents get slapped with false allegations.

Satan/Newsom are after your children.
oh, where art thou oh smoking meteor of death?!
My sister in law lives in Santa Clarita. She e-mailed my wife last night, announcing that her husband is moving the family (two young girls, home schooled) to Oklahoma.
This is a hard decision for my brother-in-law, as he is risk averse, and has been at the same job as a metallurgist for decades.
They are doing the right thing.
Anything in the Constitution that allows all the States to kick one out? This looks nothing like America.
So in CA some blue-haired kindergarten teacher can groom your child into becoming a tranny and mom and dad get felony convictions if they object.
Years ago, forced sterilization and frontal lobotomies for the mentally challenged were also advocated and supported by “the science” and perpetuated by the medical community.
You know, “settled science” …
Agreed. Get out!
If you allow it it will be, stand up and fight back
When are the parents of California kids going to say hell no to public schools and put their kids in private schools or home schooling.
Our family from basically coast to coast helped to pay for private schools for our grandkids/their nephews and nieces.
Our contractor, who is like a son to us, is leaving the bay area after school is out and moving to a conservative county in California. He has 2 school age girls and a toddler boy.
He has bought a home in a conservative county and is moving there, now.
This issue has been discussed with conservative lawyers, and the superintendent of schools in the city where they are moving.
If that proves to be a problem, a retired teacher/relative will home school their kids, on line.
It’s things like this that make America appear repulsive to much of the world.
It’s not for nothing that we are derided as the “Rainbow Empire”.

For parents of faith, their rights as parents are effectively protected under 1st Amendment-protected religious expression imo.
From related threads...
More specifically, Mark 7:11-13 shows that Jesus reprimanded the religious leaders of his time for driving a wedge (my wording) between parents and their children, wrongly nullifying the "Honor your father and mother" commandment by doing so.
In fact, since the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect sex outside the scope of voting rights issues, evidenced by the 19th Amendment, the "Honor your father and mother" commandment, along with freedom of religious expression, effectively trump constitutionally unprotected, forced LGBT indoctrination by activist state actors imo.
"19th Amendment:The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."
On the other hand, we cannot overlook that some “parents” are a threat to their children.
Regarding 2024 elections, the next step is for Democratic and Republican patriots to primary as many of our beloved state and federal lawmakers and executives as we can.
After all, they have once again shown that that do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.
Trump can endorse candidates that Constitution-savvy partiots recommend as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.
The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same lawmakers to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.
“gender identity bill. Legislation AB 957 cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee with an 8-1 vote on Tuesday.”
Good point.
In Calipornia State Government Offices and Bureaucracies, the US Constitution is used as restroom toilet paper.
My sister-in-law, (both she and husband are in their mid-seventies), and entire clan of adult children with children left California last year. Reverse Okie. They were 3rd & 4th generation Californians from the Dust Bowl migration.
My wife reads me excerpts from a Facebook page dedicated to the people fleeing California. There’s a lot of risk averse folks who also are very unlearned about self sufficiency trying their hardest to live free.
These folks are saving their children and perhaps the entire nation with their migration?
THIS!
Wonder what will happen when you can no longer “find ten righteous men in California.”
They are definitely doing the right thing by protecting their children from the tranny mob and moving out of California. It takes guts to walk away from a good paying job. Even if you have to take a job at a 7-11 located in a state where your family is safe, it’s a wise move.
