Former President Trump did have those records, but sadly, he returned them in response to the subpoena, which was the whole point of this exercise.
All the judges have been compromised ….all of them! They’re dealing with lawfare and project 65 and they’re evil as hell itself, and will rain down fire on any judge that gets out of line. So, in other words, Trump is screwed. The judge will rule accordingly to what it’s masters demand.

Clear something up for me. If Trump and his attorneys have access to all of the documents for their defense, but Trump is not allowed to publicly release that information, how is he being denied the tools he needs to defend himself? They might be trying to prevent him from defending himself in public, but this does not prevent him from defending himself in court.
The right to a public trial is a Sixth Amendment guarantee in the Constitution. One can't best defend themselves in court against a government prosecution without it.
He is being denied because the documents he has were declassified by Trump and they belong to him. They are trying to keep that info from being public because it is probably documents about wrong doing against Trump. They want to create the idea that those are still classified even though he has not been charged with that.
This is a smoke and mirrors made up and fabricated case to keep Trump from running and to cover the criminal acts by Deep State against Trump. This case has just started. Sit back and watch the so called legal but illegal shenanigans they pull over the coming months.
Trump is not being charged for having classified documents. So why can’t he speak about them because the leaks are a many from those trying to persecute him.

This is where judge Cannon can make a stand for justice. She should tell the gov that she will agree to the restrictions only if the prosecution does not leak any information concerning these same or similar evidence. If any leak occurs, no matter if it can be proven as to have come from the prosecution team then Trump will be free to discuss, publicly, any of the evidence shared by the gov with the defense. There has to be a level playing field.
The prosecutors have a huge problem.
If they are really serious about the classifications of the documents, they have only two options.
1. Drop any charge related to any particular document; or,
2. Allow Trump to inform the public of the documents because they would have to be produced in open court.
It’s that right to a public trial thingy.
The judge’s response should be to give the prosecution those two options.
If Trump’s defense team plays it right, this case could be over pretty quick. My only concern is that his attorneys will want to stretch the case out to maximize their billings.
