Imagine running out of battery power in the middle of the Caldecott Tunnel during rush hour....the stuff of nightmares.
Maybe 50 years ago I ran out of gas in my nineteen sixty five valiant in the middle of the Caldicott tunnel. Luckily, I was about twenty feet away from the crest of the hill going east and I was able to push the car and coasl all the way into orinda.
